Virgo season (approximately August 23rd to September 22nd) is an excellent time for self-examination and clearing mental, emotional, and physical clutter. This clutter-clearing meditation will help you release anything that isn't working toward your greatest and highest good.

Welcome to this meditation for clearing energetic clutter.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position for yourself to meditate in today.

Bring over any props you need to feel fully supported.

You are welcome to close your eyes if that feels right to you or you may find a fixed point just ahead of you to gaze upon.

For this practice,

We'll focus on breathing and creating some sound as we do a visualization practice.

You will breathe in as you normally do,

And then on the exhale,

With lips closed,

You'll hum,

Creating a mmmmm sound.

Allowing yourself to generate a little noise like this can be a very grounding and soothing practice because it helps you elongate your exhale,

Which is in and of itself a relaxing exercise.

If you've ever closed a yoga class with a collective ohm,

This action will be very similar to that,

But your lips will be closed.

All you have to do is focus on generating that natural humming sound.

Allow yourself to hum out on the exhale as long as it feels comfortable.

I will be demonstrating and doing two rounds of this breath with you,

And while I might hum on the exhale longer or shorter than you do,

Please feel free to take this at your own pace.

Let's begin.

Start by releasing any breath that you are holding,

And then take a nice smooth breath in,

And then exhale,

Hum it out.

Inhale.

Continue to do this at your own pace as I walk you through a visualization practice.

With each hum out,

I invite you to imagine that a sound wave is being generated to match your breath.

This sound wave can be any color you choose and that feels natural and cleansing to you.

Picture this sound wave traveling through your whole body,

Starting up at the top of your head,

And then slowly working its way down.

As this sound wave moves,

It clears anything that is no longer needed and that does not serve your greatest and highest good.

It clears unwelcome and repetitive thoughts.

It clears lingering or trapped emotions from the past.

It clears any misaligned or invasive energy.

It sweeps through any dark or tight corners within your body,

Releasing the tension that is held there.

Allow yourself to feel every inch of this wave's movement as you hum everything out.

Imagine any unwanted energy moving down and into the earth where Mother Earth can work to heal it.

Now that this wave has traveled through your body,

Picture it making its way out of your body.

Into your aura and into the space around you.

Watch as this wave clears unwanted or unwelcome energy and repairs any weakened spots in your aura.

Let this wave travel as far out as you would like.

Perhaps it moves through the room you are in or even beyond that,

Clearing any spots of trapped energy.

You could even imagine it clearing physical clutter in your space.

Allow this to be your motivation or spark for clearing the physical clutter in your life.

I'll leave you some space now to sit with and witness this.

If at any point you become tired of humming,

You may stop and breathe naturally while continuing to visualize the sound wave or a light moving on your out-breath.

Please do what feels most comfortable to you.

If you feel complete,

You may begin to step back now from this image of the sound wave.

And after your next out-breath and hum,

Return to your natural breathing pattern,

Breathing in and out of your nose at your own pace.

I’m usually someone who enjoys silent meditations, but this humming breath work for energetic clearing felt really good and I enjoyed the visualization. Loved that Marcy made it easy to go at my own pace and stip into silence when I needed to.
