Lektion 1
The Peacemaker
On this first day of our journey, we reflect on the opening lines of the Prayer of St. Francis and what it means to embody peace. Through guided meditation, we invite peace into our hearts, releasing self-criticism and embracing the truth that divine grace works through us, no matter our imperfections. From this place of renewal, we extend peace outward—to those we know, and to the world. Today, you begin living this prayer, allowing peace to flow through you in words, thoughts, and actions.
Lektion 2
The Instrument
At its foundation, The Prayer of Saint Francis is helping us become instruments of God. Today’s lesson will help us allow the flow through and guide our lives. As instruments of God, we’ll work to embody love, faith, hope, and light in the face of life’s challenges, finding deeper intimacy with the Divine. Together, we’ll meditate and invite this sacred purpose into our lives.
Lektion 3
The Comforter
Today, we reflect on the powerful idea of giving to receive, focusing on the line, “May I not so much seek to be consoled as to console.” This teaching encourages us to offer comfort to others, trusting that in doing so, we also experience peace. By embodying the divine comfort that is always available to us, we can become instruments of healing for ourselves and the world.
Lektion 4
Seek To Understand
Today, we focus on one of the prayer’s most transformative lines: “May I not so much seek to be understood as to understand.” Often, in our conversations, we’re eager to get our point across, but true connection happens when we shift from seeking to be heard to seeking to listen. Understanding opens the door to healing—both for others and for ourselves. In our meditation, we’ll focus on the power of empathy, compassion, and the deep peace that comes when we make space for others to feel seen and heard.
Lektion 5
The Lover
Welcome to Day 5 where we wrap up our series on Giving to Receive, focusing on the power of Love. St. Francis invites us not to seek to be loved but to be love itself. This love is the very fabric of God, and when we embody it, we become a strand of the divine, wrapping a tapestry of love in whatever we touch. In our meditation, we focus on sowing love where there is hatred and becoming a living expression of divine beauty, compassion, and peace.
Lektion 6
Eternal Life
On our final day together, we reflect on the profound teachings of The Prayer of St. Francis: It is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Through the lens of both archetypal and literal death, we explore transformation and the enduring nature of life. Today, we honor our journey of growth, the cycles of change, and the eternal connection we share with those we’ve lost. We will surrender to the profound peace that comes from knowing death is only a release into eternal life.
