This course celebrates the season of summer from the Wiccan perspective. Together, we will explore some of the most popular aspects of this season—including honoring nature and celebrating the Sabbats of Litha and Lughnasadh (Lammas). There are also poems, recipes, a meditation, and blessings a-plenty. Non-Wiccans and those who are purely nature enthusiasts will also find this course to be meaningful and fun. I look forward to enjoying the magickal sunshine with you!

The Energy Of Summer

For many people, summer means pool time, sports, and getaways—but that’s only part of the magic. The sun we saw reborn at the Winter Solstice is at its full strength. The days are longer, and nature is thriving. The energy at this point in the Wheel of the Year is undeniable.

Litha: The Summer Solstice

The summer solstice is a very recognizable and pivotal point in the Wheel of the Year. From this point forward, the days will slowly begin to become shorter. For now, however, we take great joy in the sun’s fullness!

Lughnasadh (Lammas): The First Harvest

With the heat of the sun in full-force, many of us aren’t even thinking about a harvest at this time, as modern traditions assign that celebration to October or November. For Wiccans and Pagans, the harvest season starts on August first in the northern hemisphere with the Sabbat of Lughnasadh.

A Summer Healing Meditation

This meditation invites you to relax while attuning to the season of summer and the sun at its fullest. We will pause and take a moment to recognize how that very same strength resides in us, as well.
