Begin this meditation in a position that is comfortable for you.
However you are positioned,
Feel a connection with the earth as you close your eyes and concentrate on your breath.
Feel yourself drawing strength and energy from the earth.
Take a slow deep breath in,
Breathe out slowly as well.
Do this several times.
Allow your neck,
Jaw and eyes to soften.
Allow yourself to relax completely.
Once you are fully relaxed,
I invite you to see yourself walking through a beautiful woodland area just after sunset.
As night settles in,
There is a certain stillness in the woods.
You feel grounded,
Safe,
Protected.
Every now and then you will hear the subtle sound of a breeze or perhaps the flow of a nearby stream,
Gentle sounds letting you know that nature is alive and breathing.
Feeling a calmness in both your mind and body as your senses absorb everything,
You continue to walk.
As night falls,
I see the moon and stars.
I feel the energy of silence and sense security.
For it is here and it is mine.
I welcome clarity.
Lantern in hand,
My bare feet traverse fertile soil with blades of fresh grass,
Exploring the wisdom of the universe.
I celebrate my higher self.
I appreciate myself.
Being in darkness,
I feel nothing but love and light.
I seek solace under my favorite tree,
Refuge I take from shelter freely given.
For there is nothing that replaces this sacred space.
There is a sense of rest.
This is my time,
Blessed and mine.
My feet rooting into the energy of the earth,
Sustaining me.
I feel as one with all that is around me,
Taking lessons from the secrets I know,
Inviting in what will soon be bestowed to me,
And knowing that will be revealed to me as night falls.
Once you've reached the level of peace you need from the forest,
You begin your journey home.
Each time you need to experience quiet and inner reflection,
You can always return to this forest,
A sacred space that is just for you.
At your own pace,
Begin bringing subtle movements into your fingers and toes,
And eventually into the rest of your body,
As this meditation concludes.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes and take another deep breath.
The crow flies from me to thee,
To send the message,
Blessed be.
Namaste.
Namaste.
