Welcome.
My name is Bethany and I'm glad you're here.
As you allow yourself to settle,
Closing your eyes if that feels good,
You can just relax and float along with the sound of my voice or allow your thoughts to wander and drift.
Knowing your subconscious mind is paying attention.
Knowing just what to do for your highest good.
Perhaps taking a nice deep breath now,
All the way into your belly and releasing it on a sigh.
As you breathe,
Finding a slow easy rhythm.
Perhaps imagining your whole body beginning to soften and relax.
The way someone might at the end of a long day finally able to quiet their mind.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Plenty of time to just savor this moment of rest.
Knowing that with each breath,
Your body is being nourished and renewed.
And you might notice that your shoulders relax a little more.
Your hips feel heavy.
Your heels sinking a little deeper into the support beneath you.
And on your next breath,
Any tension melting away.
You are safe and you're doing wonderfully.
As you settle into this natural,
Easy state of tranquility,
There may be times when you can focus on my words,
Paying close attention to their meaning and how you feel about them.
Or how I deliver those words.
Or you could choose to focus your awareness on your internal experience.
What you see,
What you feel,
And how your own awareness continues to change throughout this experience.
As you feel yourself relax deeper and deeper now,
No matter which option you choose,
You know that you are feeling more relaxed now.
And it feels so good,
So easy,
And natural.
In a moment,
You can imagine that a magic door appears behind you.
Just over there.
A large,
Impressive door.
You turn around and walk over to it.
You notice the handle,
What it's made of,
The shape,
And the design.
You grasp the handle,
Noticing how it feels in your hand,
Feeling curious,
Knowing that you are perfectly safe.
You are interested to know what's beyond the door,
Grasping the handle a little tighter.
You open the door with a slight creak,
Opening it wide.
That's right.
You step over the threshold and find yourself in a quiet,
Cozy room,
Filled with soft,
Warm light.
In the center of the room is a plush,
Comfortable chair,
And you take a seat,
Feeling at ease.
As you relax into the chair,
You know that this is a special place,
Meant just for you.
A place where you have everything you need,
And all the time you need,
To explore something important to you,
To discover wonderful things.
And you can feel yourself relaxing a little deeper into this incredibly comfortable chair,
Feeling completely supported and peaceful.
Your conscious mind is relaxed and wandering.
Your subconscious mind is opening like a door,
Ready to guide you deeper into healing and peace.
Perhaps you feel a sense of excitement and anticipation flutter through you,
As you realize that you have the power to finally be free from any negative self-talk that has been holding you back from the life you know is meant to be.
Perhaps you simply feel relieved.
Either way,
You are free.
Now,
Imagine a gentle breeze passing through the room,
Carrying with it a sense of safety and security.
You relax a little deeper,
Knowing you are perfectly safe,
And your subconscious mind is prepared and perfectly capable of guiding you through this healing,
Transformational realm with ease.
You can trust in the process,
And know that you are in control.
You absorb only what feels good.
Respond only to what is useful to you.
As you continue to relax in this chair,
You can imagine your eyes closing,
Knowing that you'll easily fall asleep in this wonderful chair,
Knowing that the magic of sleep will remove all tension,
All concerns,
Any and all stresses now.
That's right.
Now,
Drifting a little deeper,
You might begin to imagine a secret and welcoming staircase in your mind.
This secret and welcoming staircase has five steps leading somewhere safe and comfortable.
With each step you take,
Just allow yourself to go twice as deep into a deeply relaxed state.
And it's curious to wonder whether you will go deeper without even knowing it,
Or whether you will notice different changes or sensations as you take the first step on step five,
Going deeper and deeper,
Taking the next step on step four,
Going twice as deep into a comfortable trance-like state.
On to step three,
Drifting deeper and deeper,
Stepping on to step two now,
Letting your mind wander,
Filled with wonder as you drift and dream,
While your subconscious mind focuses on the important change you want to make now.
And on to step one now,
Into deep,
Deep state of relaxation,
In your own unique way,
Ready and receptive to make this very useful change you desire.
You're doing perfectly.
As you step forward,
Walking into a quiet,
Inviting space,
As you look around you,
You see a big whiteboard on the far wall that is clean and ready to be written on.
You confidently walk up to it and notice plenty of whiteboard markers sitting on the shelf.
You know exactly what to do.
You pick up a marker and you begin to write down all the negative self-talk that runs through your head.
It's all the same,
Always the same negative words and phrases,
And you easily write them on the whiteboard.
That's right.
You write them all down,
Taking up all the space you need on the whiteboard to get all these negative words and phrases,
All these old stories and beliefs out of your head and onto this board,
This white,
Healing board.
You write down every cruel,
Unkind thing you say to yourself about your body,
Your voice,
Your words,
Your actions,
Your power,
Your sexuality,
Your personality,
Your talents,
And your gifts.
Anything negative or unkind or cruel that you habitually say to yourself,
And through the magic of dreams and the subconscious,
You quickly and easily transfer all that negativity onto the whiteboard.
You write it all down,
Get it all out,
Put it all on the board in front of you.
That's right.
It goes quickly.
You were ready.
It was time.
And take your time.
There's no rush.
You're doing perfectly.
Intuitively,
You know when you are finished.
You know that even as you relax and lay down the marker,
Your subconscious mind continues to work on your behalf,
Ensuring that everything is there.
Everything is clear.
All of it out of your mind and body,
Written on the whiteboard in front of you.
Complete.
Entirely complete.
Perhaps imagining that you softly nod your head at the whiteboard,
Signaling that you are finished,
And trust that your subconscious mind knows exactly what to do.
Still breathing in a relaxed and rhythmic way,
And at ease.
In a moment,
You can imagine a large magical eraser coming forward and erasing all those words,
Phrases,
Stories,
Old beliefs,
And old experiences.
Wiping them away,
Completely erasing them from the board,
From your mind,
From your body,
From your life.
Wiping them away,
Wiping them away,
Completely erasing them as more and more clean white of the whiteboard shows,
As more and more free space is created by erasing all that used to hold you back.
Erasing all that tried to make you small.
You feel more and more relaxed,
More and more at ease,
And more and more in control.
Calm and confident.
That's right.
And now you are standing before that big,
Beautiful whiteboard,
Clean and sparkling,
Wide open,
Available space.
You are free.
You are standing before a clean slate,
Ready for new ways of being with yourself,
New ways of speaking to yourself,
Of telling your stories.
You choose,
You decide.
You are free and you are safe.
As you stand before that beautiful,
Wide open space of possibility,
Take your time.
There's no need to rush to fill it up.
Maybe allowing yourself to imagine what it would be like to give yourself a warm,
Soft hug,
Gently letting your body and mind get comfortable with a little kind attention and affection,
With loving kindness.
Just savoring this fresh start for a moment,
Savoring this moment of knowing authentic self-love is possible.
There's plenty of time to just savor all that beautiful,
Loving possibility.
And maybe as you gaze quietly and confidently at that wide open space,
You notice an image beginning to form.
Perhaps you begin to feel a sensation somewhere in your body,
Or a sound way off in the distance.
Perhaps a pleasant smell or taste is just barely present,
Just a delicate presence guiding you towards something wonderful.
Something powerful that holds a unique significance to you,
That reminds you that you are powerful,
Confident,
Peaceful,
And content.
Take your time.
Everything is unfolding in exactly the right time,
Showing up in exactly the right way.
And your subconscious knows what it all means and how best to use it.
Your subconscious mind knows exactly how best to move forward now.
No efforting required,
Nothing to figure out.
Your conscious mind can continue to simply rest.
And as you go about the rest of your day,
Your subconscious mind will continue working on your behalf,
And you will begin to notice moments of pleasure and new ideas and opportunities showing up easily.
You're doing great.
In a moment,
I will count up from one to five.
With each number,
You will become more aware of your surroundings,
And you will bring with you this sense of freedom and a fresh start.
You will gently,
Patiently reject any negative self-talk,
Allowing your subconscious to help you choose self-love and acceptance instead.
When I reach the count of five,
You will open your eyes,
Feeling refreshed,
At ease,
And filled with the sense of a new kind of power.
One,
Becoming aware of your surroundings.
Two,
Feeling a gentle surge of energy returning to your body.
Three,
A sense of gratitude and confidence flowing through you.
Four,
Taking a deep breath,
Stretching long and wide,
Coming fully awake and alert.
And five,
Opening your eyes,
Feeling wonderful in every way.
Welcome back.
Remember,
The more you engage with this practice,
The easier and more powerful your positive self-talk,
Self-love,
And acceptance become.
