Are you ready to meditate with Kori?
Lay down in your bed and get super comfortable.
Start by trying to take a nice big deep breath in for me.
Breathing all the way down to the bottom of your tummy and then breathing out.
Again a nice big deep breath.
Take a big deep breath in all the way down and then breathe all the way out.
Now see if you can let your breath in.
Find a nice comfortable pace.
Make sure it's slower and deeper and longer than it normally is.
But don't try too hard.
Just breathe nice and calmly.
Once you've done that,
See if you can lay on your back.
Lay on your back so that your hands and your arms are down by your sides.
Your legs are comfortable.
Spread apart slightly so that your feet can fall and relax.
And if you have your eyes open,
You're probably just staring at the wall or staring at your ceiling.
Make sure that everything feels just right in that position.
And then decide to try really hard to be still.
Super super still.
Like a statue still.
The only thing that's moving in your body is your lungs.
As you breathe in,
Your chest will rise and fall and your tummy will rise and fall.
Maybe if you have your eyes open,
They're moving around.
That's okay too.
But don't move your arms.
Don't move your legs.
Don't move your body.
Be as still as you possibly can.
Now you're also going to be quiet.
As quiet as a mouse.
No sneezing.
No loud breathing.
No talking.
Just still and quiet.
Imagine it's a competition and if someone dropped a pin in your bedroom,
You would be able to hear it.
You're being that quiet.
We're going to go on a journey today.
Seven steps.
Seven very magical steps.
Those seven steps are very magical because when you get to the top,
You can go anywhere you want.
Anywhere that your imagination will allow you to go.
But to do that,
You have to be very relaxed.
You have to almost be on the point of sleeping.
Sleeping but still awake.
Half way into dream world.
Half way in this world.
It's that sweet spot just before you fall asleep.
Where your right brain can light up and start to use its imagination.
So let's get you there.
I want you to focus on the ends of your fingers.
Feel your fingertips.
When I say feel them,
I mean if it helps you close your eyes so that you can go inside.
And feel what the inside of your fingertips feels like.
It's harder sometimes if you do it with your eyes open.
So try both.
I think it's easier to close your eyes so that you can feel the sensations more clearly.
You're trying to tune in to the sensations in your fingertips.
What do they feel like?
Can you feel them buzzing and tingling at the ends?
Does it feel like you could feel energy?
Or like a vibration in the tips of your fingers?
See if you can feel what's happening in the palms of your hands.
Remember you're being still and quiet so you can feel what's going on inside of your body.
Put all of your attention into your feet.
What do your toes feel like?
Do your toes feel like your fingertips?
Can you feel buzzing and vibrating in the tips of your toes?
Can you feel the bed touching your heels?
What does your bed feel like underneath your body?
Does it feel nice and soft or does it feel lumpy and hard?
What do the covers feel like on top of your body?
Put all your focus and attention onto your face.
This is a difficult one because most of the time we don't do this but can you feel the tip of your nose?
Don't use your fingers.
Just feel inside of your nose.
See if you can really focus in on the sensations in the tip of your nose.
What does your eyes feel like?
Can you feel the space around your eyes?
Is it tight?
Do you need to soften your face so you can relax your eyes?
Can you feel behind your eyes?
We never focus on that do we?
Can you feel behind your eyes?
Focus in on the sensations at the back of your head.
The part of your head that's resting on the pillow.
What does that feel like?
What does the top of your head feel like?
Can you zone in that much that you could probably feel each hair follicle?
What if you could feel your hair growing?
Really really be still,
Still,
Still and so quiet so that you can feel all of these sensations in your body.
You're so nice and relaxed right now that you can pick up on all the little subtle feelings and twitches and movements inside of your body.
You're doing such a good job at staying so still and quiet.
You can imagine if you're moving around and you're being noisy you wouldn't be able to notice all of these tiny little things going on inside of you.
Can you feel your heart beating inside of your body?
For this one you might really have to slow down your breathing.
Maybe just stop breathing for a second or two so that you can be so still.
Just let your entire body be still and relaxed.
You're comfortable.
You're nice and safe.
You're probably warm.
Everything is okay so that you can relax your body.
Now if you've kept your eyes open until now close them for me.
Close off your eyes to the rest of the world.
It's time to go inside.
Imagine that that space there in front of you.
Maybe it's just a big black wide open space.
Imagine that you can see a staircase there.
Seven big steps right there in front of you.
You can start to walk in your mind towards the steps so that you're right there at the bottom step.
You're not climbing them just yet but you're so close that all you would need to do is lift up your foot to be on the first step.
I want you to look at these seven steps.
Remember these steps are magical because when you get to the top of the seventh step you can step off into space and go wherever you want.
Notice everything about what your seven steps look like.
They may be marble steps.
They might be steps covered in jewels,
Crystals,
Precious stones.
Your steps might be covered in grass with flowers and birds and butterflies.
You might have golden steps with pieces of gold trickling down the sides of all of the seven steps.
Your steps may be just very plain.
They might just look like a regular staircase.
This is where you let your imagination start to wake up.
To start to play.
What do you want these seven steps to look like?
Whatever you think of your mind will show you as if magically those steps will change into the form that you want them to look like.
Play with them and see.
Looking at the seven steps there in front of you.
Imagine that those steps are covered in snow.
Brilliant white snow,
Soft and fluffy.
And it's snowing from above and there's big,
Big giant snowflakes landing on the steps.
See if you can see that in your mind.
And it's cold.
And you wished you to put your slippers on.
It's like a magical snow cave that you could possibly be walking into.
A world of white.
But then we can change that.
I want you to look at those seven steps there in front of you and start to see plants growing from the ground popping up absolutely everywhere.
And everything starts to turn green.
Like a jungle.
There's vines and leaves and different flora all over the place and it's so thick and lush.
You can hear parrots singing and monkeys making noises in the background and all of a sudden it's so warm.
It's hot and sticky.
And there's insects everywhere.
You're thinking to yourself,
Wow,
There's so many plants,
I can't even make out my seven steps there in front of me anymore.
Can you see how whatever you see in your mind becomes the reality of what's there in front of you in this realm?
There's so many possibilities.
We're going to walk up the seven steps.
It doesn't matter what they look like right now.
But when we get to the top,
It's going to look like you're in outer space.
And it looks as if you're stepping into nothing.
You're stepping off into space.
But don't be afraid.
Because when you step off,
You can create whatever you go in your mind.
Are you ready?
One,
Step on the first step.
Two,
We're going to go really slow.
Three,
Taking your time thinking in your mind where you'd like to go.
What would you like to see?
Four,
You feel safe and confident and know that everything is going to be wonderful.
Five,
Six,
You're almost there.
Seven,
Looking out at space,
The stars,
The planets.
The sky looks so big.
It looks like you're in the middle of the cosmos.
There's shooting stars in the sky.
Different star clusters.
It's so bright.
The stars are so bright.
Do you know where you want to go?
Maybe you want to go to a place where everything is made from cookie dough.
That would be pretty cool.
Maybe you want to go to the land of birds.
And there's thousands and millions of different types of birds there because you love birds.
What if you want to go to that place where you have to climb up the magical stalk into the sky?
Just like Jack and the Beanstalk.
Maybe you want to go to a magical city in the sky.
What if you wanted to go to Moonbow Forest just like Stephanie?
What if you wanted to be a magical witch and you went to Salem and created spells that saved the world?
Think about it.
Where do you want to go in your mind?
Because when you take the step off this seventh step you'll instantly be there.
Maybe you want to swim in the ocean with the whales and the dolphins and be a mermaid or a merman for a while.
You could be a princess in a castle.
You could be a chef in a famous restaurant.
You can go anywhere that your heart and your mind wants to take you.
I'm going to count to three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Jump.
Imagine you're very quickly as fast as light travels,
Traveling to the place that you want to go in your mind.
Speeding around the world or entering into a different world.
And then you land there.
You're here.
I want you to have so much fun.
Remember everything that you think in your mind is what's going to happen.
You can create all of the wonderful experiences.
And if you want to come back all you do is think about being back in your room and you will be there safe and sound.
Now I'm going to leave you to play in your world.
Play in your world for as long as you need to.
