Welcome to this meditation.
Begin by sitting comfortably and placing your attention on your breath.
Notice the simple rise and fall of your chest.
No need to change anything,
Just observe.
Bring your awareness to one thing in your life that functions reliably.
It may be your ability to breathe,
The roof over your head or the device you are using.
Acknowledge it as a practical source of support.
Shift your focus now to a person who contributes to your life in a meaningful way.
Identify the specific action or behaviour they offer,
Something they do that makes your day easier or better.
Recognise it without judgement or emotion,
Simply as a fact.
Now consider one opportunity available to you today,
However small.
It could be the ability to learn,
To connect or to rest.
Note this opportunity as a resource.
Let these three points,
Support,
Contribution and opportunity settle in your mind.
They represent real tangible elements that add value to your life.
Take one more steady breath.
As you exhale,
Allow your attention to return to the present moment,
Carrying with you a grounded sense of appreciation for what is already working.
Your day or evening continues from here,
Supported by what is real and available.
