Spring has a way of sneaking up on us.
One day you're wearing three layers and avoiding the outdoors,
The next like something's starting again.
This time of year isn't about big changes or some dramatic personal transformation.
It's an opportunity to come out of hibernation just a little.
Open a window,
Take a walk without rushing.
Pay attention to what's happening around you.
Trees getting their leaves back,
Birds making noise again,
People actually smiling at each other.
There's a kind of permission in spring.
To slow down.
To enjoy things.
To not take it all so seriously.
You don't have to book a trip to the mountains or plant a herb garden unless you want to.
Sometimes it's just about sitting outside with a cup of coffee.
Or eating dinner with the daylight still hanging around.
Or deciding to walk instead of drive.
And maybe,
While everything around you is waking up,
You give yourself a bit of a reset too.
Shake off the stuff you don't need to carry anymore.
Get back into the things that make you feel like yourself.
Call a friend.
Get some fresh food.
Take a break from screens.
Or don't.
Just do what helps.
Spring doesn't demand anything from us.
It just gives us a bit more light.
A bit more warmth.
And the space to remember what it's like to enjoy being here.
So take it in.
Nothing fancy.
Just life a little brighter.
