Welcome.
If fear feels loud right now,
If your mind is racing or your heart feels unsettled,
This pause is for you.
You don't need to feel calm before beginning.
You don't need to do anything right.
Just be here.
Just exactly as you are.
Let's begin with the breath.
Not to change it.
Not to fix it.
Just to notice.
A gentle breath in.
And out again.
You don't have to slow it down.
You don't have to deepen it.
Just let the breath be as it is,
Moving through the body without effort.
Now bring your awareness to where your body meets the ground.
The chair.
The floor.
The support beneath you.
Notice that you're being held.
Fear often shows up as tension in the body and urgency in the mind.
But it's only thought.
Just fast-moving,
Stirred-up thought.
It's not danger.
It's not truth.
It's a moment.
A feeling.
And it will pass.
You don't need to fix the feeling.
You don't need to follow it.
You can simply be with it.
Let it rise.
Let it fall.
Like waves on the surface of a deep,
Quiet ocean.
That depth is always there,
Even if the surface is choppy.
You don't need to dive deep.
Just notice what's already holding you.
There is nothing wrong with you for feeling fear.
This is what thought can do.
It's human.
It's okay.
And still,
You are safe in this moment.
You are whole in this moment.
You are not your fear.
Take one more deep breath.
Feel the steadiness beneath you.
Let yourself rest in this moment,
Without trying to get anywhere.
Just this.
Just now.
Just you.
Already okay.
