The sensation of floating can bring us such release and brings us to a place of being with the element of water,
Of fluidity,
Of agility,
Of power and calm and life-giving force.
So I invite you in to a space of release,
To immersing yourself into the sensation of floating.
So begin by finding a position that supports that.
This is likely to be lying down,
And negotiate with your body to let your limbs rest,
To trust the surface you're resting on.
Taking a breath in to nourish you,
And as you breathe out,
Settle in to yourself and close your eyes.
And I invite you to imagine that you're either floating on the surface of water,
Or laying in a simple boat,
Beautifully formed,
With just enough space for you to be resting in.
Notice the movement of the water as it rocks you and laps against you.
Notice the sensation of being held,
Of being upheld and supported by this beautiful,
Powerful,
Dynamic force.
Notice also the openness,
The expansion all around you,
Of the sky and the water,
As they both invite you in to expansiveness,
To calm and to trust.
Trusting yourself,
Trusting the forces of life,
And trusting that you will always be upheld,
And that it is safe to open up,
To release,
To surrender.
And when you do so,
The fullness of yourself is free to be loved,
To love,
To express,
And to offer your contributions to this beautiful world.
Lean in to the sensation of floating,
Of release and rest,
Of openness and trust.
Know what this feels like.
Allow yourself to be familiar with it,
To be connected to it,
So that you can keep on coming back here,
And gifting yourself this way of being.
And while you're here,
Notice anything else.
The temperature of the water,
The temperature of the air,
How much the water and the air are moving,
Any other life around you,
Or perhaps it's just you for miles around.
Connect in with what you need to,
So that you may remember,
And come back here whenever you choose.
