Hello and Happy New Year,

Thank you for joining me today.

I hope you've enjoyed the holiday season and are ready to get back into action.

I especially love the energy of the new year,

Because I get a chance to reflect on my prior plans and I create new ones.

To me,

This isn't only about the physical plans we make,

It's also about the feelings or character traits we want to embody.

In this meditation,

We'll focus on getting ourselves aligned to those new traits and goals.

With that being said,

Let's get into a seated position,

With your back straight.

Roll your shoulders up and back down,

Letting them relax.

Rest your hands on your knees.

You can hold a soft gaze or close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths into the low belly,

Focusing on how your torso expands with every inhale and relaxes on every exhale,

Settling deeper into the present.

Draw your conscious energy towards your heart center now,

As you think about how you'd like to feel this year and what you'd like to embody.

Maybe you're wanting to bring more joy into your life.

Maybe you're hoping to feel more confident and assertive,

Or maybe more gentle and surrendered.

Take as long as you need to think about the kind of person you want to be this year.

Think of the things you want to accomplish in order to get there.

You can now envision your future self standing in front of you,

The person you'll be by the end of this year.

Look at how happy they look,

How strong.

Imagine them smiling back at you,

Proud of you for taking action and being the person you really want to be.

Imagine they reach out their hands to you and you take them,

Both of you reveling in the love you have for each other.

Thank that version of you for being with you and guiding you into your most vibrant and aligned future.

As you embrace your future self,

You merge into their body,

And the two of you become one.

Now you have access to all those traits,

All those things that you're striving for.

Let out a deep sigh now.

Whenever you're feeling unmotivated or discouraged by your progress,

I want you to come back to this moment,

Back to the memory of who you want to be and how you want to feel.

Let this energy infuse into your very core.

Breathe it in until there's no doubt in your mind that you have access to it all now.

As we finish our meditation today,

Put your hands into a prayer pose at your heart.

Give thanks to yourself for creating the life you desire.

Give thanks to the universe for giving you another year and another opportunity to make it all happen.

Thank you for joining me today.
