Welcome to this short gratitude practice.
Let's begin.
Finding a comfortable position.
One where you feel both relaxed and alert.
Letting your body rest into the support beneath you.
And when you're ready,
You're welcome to close your eyes.
Or soften your gaze toward the floor.
Taking a slow breath in through the nose.
And a long breath out through the mouth.
And again filling your lungs all the way up.
And then letting it all go.
And letting the breath find its own natural rhythm now.
We're going to notice three good things.
From right here,
In this exact moment.
The first one is in your body.
Something that feels good.
Or simply feels fine.
The warmth of your hands.
The air moving in and out.
The weight of you resting on something solid.
Whatever you find,
Just let yourself notice it for a few moments.
Thank you,
Body.
The second one is around you.
It's something in this room.
We're just outside it.
A sound.
The temperature of the air.
The light or the dark.
Something that is quietly here taking care of you without being asked to.
Thank you for this moment.
And the third one is in your life.
Something you would miss if it were gone tomorrow.
It doesn't have to be big.
In fact,
The smaller the better.
Letting yourself feel it fully.
Just for a breath or two.
Thank you.
That's the whole practice.
Three things.
One in your body.
One in the moment.
And one in your life.
And if it feels right for you,
You're welcome to join me for a few gentle affirmations.
There is good in this moment.
There is good in this day.
My life is enough,
Exactly as it is.
Good things are on their way to meet you.
Take another easy breath in.
And then let it go.
Notice how you feel.
Beginning to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Wiggling your fingers or your toes and gently opening your eyes when you're ready.
If this felt useful,
I have a four-day gratitude journey here on Insight Timer called Good Things Are On The Way.
Take care,
And I'll see you again soon.
