The Waterfall Meditation.
Hello,
This is Ana Boreto and I invite you to meditate with me.
This meditation was given to me at the Cohoes Falls in Cohoes,
New York to help me let go of negative emotions.
You can use it to release your attachments to people,
Things and situations that lower your energy and interfere with your power to create and attract the life you desire.
Find a comfortable place where you can relax and won't be interrupted for 15 to 20 minutes.
Get comfortable.
Find your position.
You may wiggle a little bit before we start just to get a little bit more comfortable.
We're gonna start by taking three long and deep breaths.
This will signal your body to relax.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
On the third breath,
Hold it for 15 seconds and breathe out through your mouth.
Close your eyes and imagine a beautiful waterfall.
It can be any size falls or waterfall you have visited in the past.
You can also create your own waterfall in your mind.
Imagine the waterfall with cascading waters following the flow of nature.
It's flowing down.
Look at its beauty.
This is nature at its best.
Water in an effortless flow.
Pay attention to the current.
See it flowing.
Find a comfortable breathing pattern.
Pay attention to the water and the flow of the falls.
Feel the breeze in the air.
Hear the sounds of the water plummeting.
Hear the birds singing nearby.
Connect with the water by feeling the power of the water.
All you need to do is imagine the water.
See it flowing.
Feel the power of effortless flow.
Continue to breathe in and out and feel the energy of the water.
Feel the power of water.
Let the current of the water show you how easy it is to flow.
Bring to mind what's bothering you.
Is that a person?
Is that an emotion?
Is that a situation?
Place it in a water about a quarter mile from the fall.
See it traveling in the water and tumbling down and being washed on the water path.
If you believe your problem is a person,
Know that people are never the problem but our expectations of them is.
Release any expectation that you have of them and let the waterfall take it.
See the problem washing down the waterfall and let it go.
You can bring as many problems to mind as you like.
I will stay quiet so you can release the problems underwater and see it tumbling down the fall.
Feel the power of the water.
Feel the energy of the water.
Pay attention how the water flows with a lot of grace and it still has so much power.
Sense the freedom of the water.
You can also sense the wind over the water.
Everything is flowing effortlessly.
Let the light breeze take any heaviness you still feel about your problems.
Now imagine yourself walking towards the small pool at the bottom of the falls.
Step into the pool.
Feel the energy of the water energizing your feet.
Is that cold?
Is that warm?
Is it refreshing?
Let your feet be energized by the power of the water.
Touch the water.
Feel the energy of the water flow.
Now sit on a small pool and emerge your head underwater.
Get your hair and your face wet.
Let's wash any heaviness we still have in our bodies.
Feel the energy of the water flow.
Feel refreshed.
Feel the water clearing,
Releasing and empowering your body.
Feel the energy and the power of the water.
Take this energy into your heart.
Take in the sounds of the continuous water flow.
Feel the breeze.
Hear the birds.
Honor this moment by feeling the power of the moving water into your being.
You and the water are one.
You have the energy of releasing and flowing with ease.
You and the water are one.
Feel this oneness with the water.
You can flow like water now.
Feel what it feels like to flow with the water.
Feel the power of water.
You have the energy of the water.
You can flow just like water.
Stay there as long as you need and when you are ready you can open your eyes,
Offer a gesture of gratitude by nodding your head forward and say thank you.
And remember,
You and the water are one.
