Hello my friends,
So this is a practice I'm sharing with you for if perhaps you've not been feeling very well,
You've been under the weather or maybe you have some injuries and pain in your body or maybe you're suffering something a little more chronic.
You know it's really important for us,
For our bodies to feel safe and cared for from the inside out.
And just by coming into some time where we offer ourselves some really generous attention,
High quality care,
We can really raise the quality of our well-being overall.
And this is something that's been found to be true by studies.
And what's important is that we're not coming in seeing ourselves in any way as damaged or broken and in need of fixing up in some way.
We're not machines.
We're coming into a safe space,
A sanctuary made up of pathways of love and care.
And I want to remind you that even though you may be feeling pain,
Really unwell,
Or you may have heard some unsettling news about your health,
You are still and always a whole person.
You're always whole and you're allowed to feel the way you're feeling right now,
Whatever that is.
You're even allowed to feel that you're not so okay.
You're allowed to be human and you're also allowed to feel better.
So sometimes we have this certain limited amount of care and love that we've decided we're worthy of giving ourselves.
And the suggestion for you to consider as we begin this practice is that maybe,
Maybe we can increase that allowance.
Expand on that amount of care and love.
Maybe there is more of that good stuff inside us,
Right?
And what we need to do is allow ourselves to open up to receive that.
Because it's there for us.
Because that's what it's for.
And because we are so,
So worthy.
So clearing through layers of judgment and doubt that might be increasing our present pain and suffering is important.
And that's what we're going to do right now.
By practicing together in this space,
Making it safe and supportive and expanding into offering ourselves some real healing.
There are some times when our body just needs some extra love,
Extra attention and we feel that call and sometimes we ignore it or push it away.
There are times when our well-being needs a little extra support.
So right now would it feel okay for you to begin to settle into you a little deeper,
A little closer.
Taking some breaths into you and in your own time.
Coming into your own space and your own presence.
And getting comfortable.
As comfortable as you're able to.
Knowing that level of comfort will change.
And if it's available to you,
Perhaps beginning to take some deeper,
Longer and softer breaths into your chest,
Down into your heart space,
All the way down into your belly.
Making your pathway of breathing a channel for moving towards yourself and inside into your own body.
With these soft long breaths,
Softening toward the earth and noticing how you are supported there.
That the ground underneath you is holding all of you exactly as you are right now.
And taking this as a gentle reminder that there's always support for you and you're allowed to lean into that support.
That's what it's there for.
And sometimes we don't allow ourselves to do that.
Sometimes we forget that we can also be supportive towards ourselves.
So as you feel your muscles and your bones falling away to release to gravity,
To release to the earth,
Maybe you can access some gratitude.
Some gratitude that there is something in your body,
A homing signal,
Gravity that brings you down to earth to support.
And that there is support always inside you and you can let yourself go into that right now.
Feeling your body landing.
Remember you're helping yourself out now in a relaxed and easeful accepting way.
And as you feel yourself meeting the earth,
Melting in,
How does it feel to know that you can let go into this support a little more.
You can feel the body of the earth meeting you.
Trust that you can simply drop all the weight of your bones and land right in your own chosen spot on earth where you will be taken care of.
And maybe now it would feel good to release something that you've been holding on to.
To release some of the holding on.
So taking a feel into and around your body and you might notice that there's some bracing,
Tightness,
Tension.
This is very common when we're going through a journey with our health.
Be okay with that.
That's normal and it's okay for that to be there.
It's not very comfortable or effective or productive.
And sometimes it can be a habit or a pattern our bodies have automatically taken on to brace around tricky spots or with the expectation of pain or suffering.
And sometimes this holding on a little too tightly can actually make things hurt more.
And softening and releasing make things feel so much better.
Maybe this holding isn't needed right now.
So see if you can use your exhalation now to soften and release some of that energy of holding.
Some of that tightness.
Let's do that together.
Let's take a deep breath in all the way to the top and then completely let it go with an audible sigh.
And as you let it go you're feeling everything soften,
Soften downwards to the ground.
So with your in-breath taking in fresh new energy melting away any tension.
And then your out-breath washing through your body.
And you just let go completely.
Washing through the aches,
The stress,
The tightness.
There's a natural softening and actual release this way.
Waves and waves of releasing.
Gentle,
Slow,
Soft.
Drawing in that breath,
Letting it go.
Simple.
And recognize that simply by offering yourself this gentle release you're inviting yourself into your own healing.
Your own healing space and sanctuary.
You have this capacity.
Sometimes we forget we have this capacity.
Maybe you can offer some gratitude to your body because it does have this capacity.
Thank your body for recognizing and helping you.
For seeing you.
And continuing to soften through all the parts of your body.
Melting some stress you may have accumulated around your neck.
Dropping the weight from your shoulders.
Softening through your chest,
Your ribs,
Your belly.
Melting resistance.
And finding ways to allow that experience of letting more love in.
Letting your body receive more love,
More care,
More release and relief.
Giving your body this time and space.
Giving you this time and space you have chosen.
And this particular potent healing energy.
And allowing yourself to receive,
To soften,
To soothe,
To allow.
And thank yourself for that.
Honor your body for having this potent healing energy and power.
You may sense and feel that the quality of your awareness is a healing one.
The gaze which you're giving yourself is a smiling,
Caring one.
Warm and generous.
The direction and the soft touch of your breath is a balm to troubled places in you.
And as you honor different parts of you by bringing them into awareness you're letting that balm spread right into these areas directly.
And it's healing and soothing for them to receive.
You're making your own special medicine.
Feeling how tender your attention can be towards yourself as you soften the features of your precious face.
Let go of any expressions of holding,
Clenching.
Tenderly melting the crease of your brow to dissolve the skin there to its buttery soft.
Softening and releasing your cheekbones,
Softening the backs of your ears.
And maybe allowing a soft baby smile to appear on your lips.
And seeing how that feels a little different.
Each part of you is finding something new.
Some new freedom.
Some new experience.
Under this healing gaze and awareness.
And you're simply sending waves of softness with your breath from your crown down through your body to the earth.
Allowing everything to relax to the earth.
Recognizing that you're melting through the walls.
Dissolving barriers.
And tending and tenderizing so beautifully.
Brilliantly.
And this is so good for your body.
For you,
For your wellness,
Your health,
Your energy.
So acknowledging this grace that you're giving yourself just by showing up.
Showing up for yourself.
Acknowledging this movement of your heart towards caring and caring toward yourself.
Knowing that you are worthy of this healing time.
Perhaps feeling even more gratitude opening up to even more love coming through.
And if there are parts of you not feeling ready to receive this energy right now,
That's perfectly fine.
Being tender to those parts and sending them love and sending them gratitude.
Let them know it's okay to show up this way,
To feel this way.
It's authentic and they're included here in your love and gratitude and in your caring.
And you are here for them and they are worthy of this attention,
Of this healing.
Worthy of being seen.
And getting curious now,
Sensing in,
Are there any specific parts of you that you can feel right now calling for some extra love,
Extra care?
If you find a part asking for that,
You could bring your gentle smiling awareness there.
Leaning in.
Maybe even some gentle touch here would be welcome.
Some soft massage with your fingers.
Let yourself explore what feels good.
Taking a breath in and then sending your exhalation right into that spot.
So you're washing through this part like washing a wound with a soothing ointment.
Love is moving directly into this place.
It's so in need of love.
Love is warming up this place,
Bringing light and lightness,
Bringing comfort and maybe a little ease.
And you might ask this part,
Is there anything else you need?
You might ask your body there.
And see what impulses come through.
Maybe some words or pictures arise.
Maybe some calls to action.
Maybe some inspiration.
For instance this part or your body in entirety might be calling you for some time and space,
Some rest.
A lifting perhaps of some of life's demands or a slowing down.
Maybe it's asking for some ease.
Maybe it's playfulness or joy or pleasure or some kind of permission.
Put the call out and see what comes home to you.
You are worthy of time.
You are worthy of care.
You're worthy of rest.
You're worthy of bright things,
Good things,
Fun things,
Pleasure and enjoyment.
And you are certainly,
Certainly worthy of love.
You're so,
So worthy.
Softly let your body hear and remember and feel this.
Let your body receive this healing.
Respecting the power of your love,
The power of your care and receiving it into all your cells.
So you can visualize yourself opening up like a flower going from bud to blossom.
Opening up to receive the sunlight for growth,
For vitality,
For healing.
Your cells opening up to receive this energy knowing you are right now in a safe space of healing.
A safe space to receive and be supported and be infused.
You are in a sanctuary you have created in which you care for yourself so deeply,
So attentively,
So skillfully.
That you have ways in which you're showing up in life and showing that you care.
You are the right person to do this and you are the person doing this.
You are the healer.
You are the medicine.
And reawakening the tender,
Attentive parts of you and receiving their care is amazing.
It's amazing for you.
Feel that happening right now inside you in the real present and just for a few more life-enriching health-enhancing moments you can bask here.
If you're enjoying the balm of your breath you can continue to feel its touch and the different parts of you are benefiting from feeling and receiving that.
Or you might simply let yourself go completely into natural resting knowing that you're being taken care of right now,
Right here.
And you won't hear my voice again until it's time to come back.
Take another couple of breaths here and to notice how you're feeling now.
And just honor what you're feeling.
There's no right or wrong.
Just honoring and sensing the sensations in your body,
How you're feeling overall in yourself.
And then when you're ready to come back,
To welcome yourself back into this space,
Do so at your own time.
Opening your eyes and thanking yourself for taking this time,
This really precious time to enter into this healing space and knowing you can come back to it anytime at all.
