Inner Radiance

You are a powerful and magical being of light...but you might not be feeling it right now. This is a meditation to recover feelings of brightness and radiance when, perhaps, you are feeling dull, empty, heavy, or even dark. All humans have these very human feelings! When there is heavy weather - whether literal or metaphysical - we can call in and soak up the abundant light inside us and in the universe, drinking it in and bathing inside it until we are radiance itself. Let us make some magic!

So settle yourself in nice and comfortably somewhere where you feel lovely and relaxed and private.

Where you won't be interrupted and begin to feel your own body and your own breath.

Tune into your breathing,

Making no demands on it.

Not trying to change it or require anything of it,

Just enjoying the rise and fall of your own precious breath.

And how it brings you to the inside of you.

And also how it fills up from what is nourishing in life,

From all the abundant sources of nature.

And let your breath be light,

Full of light and easeful,

An easy simple breath.

But wonderfully creating space and light inside you as you enter inwards and feel it moving in your body.

Don't worry if your head is full of thoughts,

That's perfect.

Just go with any sense of holding your mind back,

Holding any part of your being back so you can feel an inner freedom.

Let yourself off any leashes,

Any control that you've had to put on in your outer life and just feel your body and your breath and your mind beginning to release into wider space,

Untethered and boundless.

You might even get a slightly drifty,

Dreamy feeling and that's perfect.

It's showing you how deep you are and how spacious,

How much room inside you there is to travel.

All those spaces there you can relax deeper into.

And take a moment to feel where you are resting,

Wherever you're sitting or lying and that underneath you is the vast curve of the stable earth.

Her strong foundation and how you're releasing into where you're resting,

Releasing into her embrace.

With every breath you breathe out you can really savour this sense of letting go of tension and giving yourself to the earth.

So while your in breath creates more space and light on the inside,

With your out breath there's a melting,

A dissolving of anything that's getting between you and that light,

Any tension,

Any stickiness.

Breathing in space and light and then as you breathe out melting,

Dissolving,

Feeling yourself giving your muscles and bones to the earth.

Now think about all the light that is in the universe.

The universe is permeated by the brightest possible,

Most vibrant lights.

Think about the light of the sun,

So strong we cannot look the sun in the eye.

Think about powerful moonlight and the light of all the stars twinkling in space.

As you breathe you can feel and know that you're breathing in sunshine and starlight and moonlight.

You're flooded with light and it is permeating every cell as if you were sunbathing,

Moonbathing or starbathing,

Basking in and filling with all the light.

Bathe in light for a little while,

Completely abandoning yourself,

Surrendering yourself to all that light.

After a while you may feel yourself dissolving and becoming the light,

One with the light.

And you are light,

Everything that is in the light of nature is in your nature too.

And yourself,

You come from the stars,

From stardust.

The cells,

The atoms and molecules of your body,

Everyone are particles of light.

And you know what it feels like to have a light heart and to have that strong sense of an inner light,

A fire a burning in you that allows you to express in the world from your own light.

And you know all about the light inside those you love,

The light you see in them.

It's there.

Let's go deeper and more closely into that light inside.

Take your fingertips very lightly to your belly now,

To around your navel and get comfy and relaxed here.

As you breathe into your belly,

Feel it lifting up to your fingertips,

Welcoming your touch.

And as you exhale,

Feel it gathering in again,

Deeper into you,

Your center and your core.

Now imagine,

Visualize that under your fingertips,

In your belly is the bright,

Bright light of being.

Your being.

Your unique light.

Powerful.

Confident.

Your quiet inner power burning brightly in you all the time at your center.

As you breathe in,

Feel that light grow into your fingertips and beyond.

As you breathe out,

Feel the gathering in back into that central light,

The light of your being.

Take some breaths here.

Feeling the light of your being fill you,

Expand into the world.

And then gathering back in.

Feel how in that rhythm you are meeting and growing your light,

Feeling it expanding in you in both directions.

In an outer direction,

Filling the world which needs your light.

And in an inner direction,

Fueling you,

Your confidence,

Your inner power burning brightly.

Feel these waves of light inside and from your belly.

Waves going in,

Waves going out and the whole core of you ignited,

Luminous.

And now keeping your right hand on your belly,

Take your left hand and place it over your heart.

Just on that space in your chest where your heart lies underneath.

And feel the contact here.

Feel how as you breathe in your heart reaches up to your hand,

Your fingertips.

And as you breathe out it gathers in back all the way to the depth of your heart.

And remind yourself and feel the light of your own heart,

All the love there,

The compassion and caring.

And for those you love how that reaches out and burns brightly for them.

How for when you feel loved you are lit on the inside and heart warmed.

And as you feel the vibrancy of your light and bright heart,

Also feel its tenderness,

Its softness.

And feel its joy and passion and enthusiasm for life.

As you breathe here feel the fullness of your heart and its brightness,

Its vibrancy.

And now feeling into both hands and your fingertips,

The hand on your belly and the hand on your heart.

Breathe in from your belly all the way up into your heart,

Feel your belly and your heart rise and fill.

And then from your heart breathe out all the way pouring breath back into your centre.

Be with this belly to heart and heart to belly breath for a few moments.

Now feel again and visualise under your fingertips,

Under your left fingertips over your heart bright light.

And keep the sense of the bright light under your fingertips from your core.

But giving your attention to your heart right now.

Feel light dazzling from that space underneath your fingertips.

The light of your heart,

The truth of your heart,

The love of your heart.

And then as you breathe in feel the light of your core expanding and lighting up your heart even more.

And as you breathe out that light from your heart filling your core and lighting it more.

So there's a communion,

A communication between the light of your core and the light of your heart.

And how that light spreads upwards and downwards.

And all around your being bring your awareness to your whole being now.

Your head to your toes and the sides and the back of you.

And breathing this easy breath filling with light.

Your being illuminated by light.

Luminous.

Dissolve into that radiance.

From that radiance as you already are.

You are meeting your true self.

You are feeling your nature and your nature is light and radiant and powerful and filled with love.

Just melt and relax and dissolve into the light and let it feed and nourish every part of you as you relax in the light.

AO.

And now get ready to transition but carrying,

Continuing that lightness.

Taking your light with you.

So taking a moment again to acknowledge the feelings and bond with them in your cells in this space of complete radiance.

And then feeling more into your physical body,

Wiggling your toes perhaps and your fingers,

Tilting your head,

Being very sensitive to your energies as you move and stretch,

Still filled with light in this space of light.

And as you begin to orientate yourself to the outside world,

To life again,

Remember to be sure of all the light that is there that surrounds and permeates every being.

That allows the flowers and the leaves and the trees to blossom and grow and thrive.

Remember that as you take that step back into your life,

You are stepping into light.
