A gentle moment to rest at the end.
If you ever feel like you're the only one struggling,
Step into my heart and drop softly into your own.
Place your hand upon your chest and feel the steady rhythm of life with each and every breath.
Summon the quiet courage to lift the corners of your mouth,
A smile rising like the first morning sun.
I know how heavy it can feel.
I've been there too,
And I've found my way through,
And you will find your way through too.
Can you release the judgments you hold upon yourself?
Can you offer yourself a sprinkling of kindness,
The same tenderness you would give a friend?
Even if it's only for this moment.
Even if it lasts but a millisecond.
Just for this moment,
Rest.
Just for this moment,
Be.
Now take one slow breath in,
And a gentle breath out.
And mentally say,
May I be kind to myself.
May I be kind to myself.
Take one more breath in,
And as you breathe out,
Allow this softness to continue with you for the rest of your day.
