Glimmers.
Have you heard of glimmers?
They're small positive moments that can help you feel calm and safe.
They're micro-moments of goodness that restore your body into a thriving state.
Glimmers give you a sense of peace during harm.
And since our brains tend to focus on the negative,
It's so important to pay attention to the good things,
Or glimmers.
That make us feel positive.
So these things might be petting animals,
Humming a tune,
Snuggling up to a soft blanket,
Doing some gardening.
Glimmers are unique to each of us,
Which makes one person happy might not be the same for another.
Having said that,
Let's try this activity.
I teach this in my yoga and Pilates classes,
And I always get lots of smiles on the face.
So just shake out your hands now.
Shake out your arms.
Shake out your legs.
If the back's okay and the bones are okay,
Give a little bounce to the body.
So lift the heels and drop them down just gently.
This helps to release out any stress or tension by the body.
And then releasing.
Now take a breath in and gently humming out.
In and humming out.
And if you feel like it,
You can now sing your favorite song or hum your favorite tune and see how you feel.
