Become aware of that which is observing those thoughts.

Just to soothe,
Just to relax,
Come back to our center.
Like you can say,
Getting comfortable my friend.
Becoming aware of how you're sat.
You can sit up or lie down.
Close the eyes or leave them open,
Whatever you like.
Becoming aware of how you feel.
Your body temperature,
Sensations,
Emotion,
Thoughts,
All is welcome.
Allowing all that's present in your inner world.
Allowing it to simply be as it is.
Taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Breathing in new life,
New energy.
In,
Exhale,
Old life,
Old energy.
Every cell in the body breathing in.
And every cell in the body breathing out.
Breathing in trust.
In,
Exhale,
Expanding,
Deepening trust.
Coming back to trust in the unfolding of life.
Coming back,
Coming back to compassion,
Patience,
Understanding.
So take a deep breath in.
Breathing into the heart space.
Becoming more receptive as you breathe in.
Faith in the unfolding of circumstance as you breathe in.
And if your mind has been wanting to think,
Now is the time to allow the mind total freedom to think.
So coming back into this moment,
Unlike any other moment that's been before,
Absolutely unique.
Feeling the aliveness of this moment.
Exhale,
Relaxing the belly,
Dropping the shoulders,
Relaxing the face,
Breathing up the spine.
Feeling yourself rooted,
Grounded.
Taking one last deep breath for now.
Holding that breath at the top,
Becoming aware as you hold that breath.

The animal for today is a buffalo.

Being aware of your awareness,
Being conscious of your consciousness,
Being present with your presence,

Instead of chasing thoughts,
And instead of watching the movement of the mind and the emotions,
It's a very beautiful practice to become aware of that which is observing those thoughts,
Observing that emotion,
That sensation.
Almost as if awareness is turning back on itself,
Looking at itself.
That brings tremendous stillness and silence inside.
The thoughts are moving so fast sometimes that watching them can be dizzying,
Disorienting,
Overwhelming.
But something is aware of these thoughts that spike and this emotion that spikes,
These moods that are always changing.
So having a closer relationship to that which is aware of the movements.
And with that,
