Welcome,
My name is Mark Rowland and thank you so much for choosing this meditation.
Take this time for yourself.
Find a position where you feel supported.
Allow your body to soften into gravity,
Into the ground that holds you.
Feel your breath moving in and out.
Notice that you don't have to do anything for this breath to happen.
It comes and it goes like the tide.
Life is already unfolding.
Let yourself rest in awareness of the body.
The weight of your arms.
The gentle contact of your feet.
The rise and fall of your chest.
Each sensation,
Each breath is a reminder.
You are not outside of life looking in.
You,
My friend,
Are life happening in this very moment.
So often we believe we must strive,
Must push,
Must achieve.
But notice your breath,
Your heartbeat,
The turning of the earth.
All of these wonderful things are happening without any effort.
You see,
You are supported by a rhythm that is much larger than you.
Like a dancer carried by music,
You don't need to force the dance.
You simply move and flow with it.
Imagine for a moment that life is like water.
If you grasp it tightly,
It slips through your fingers.
But if you let your hands be open,
Water flows freely,
Resting in your palm.
See if you can let go now.
Loosen your grip on the moment.
Allow your thoughts to drift in and out like clouds.
Allow your body to breathe as it chooses.
Nothing to control and nothing to fix.
Just flow.
Consider this,
We don't dance to arrive at the final step.
We dance to enjoy each movement,
Each note of the music.
And just maybe life is just the same.
Its meaning is not at the end,
But in each and every moment along the way.
Every inhale is part of the dance.
Every exhale is part of the dance.
Even your stillness is part of the movement.
So my friend,
Let yourself be danced by life.
Rest in this rhythm,
Effortless and free.
Notice the sounds around you,
The sensations in your body.
Even the wandering and meandering of your thoughts.
None of these are intrusions.
They are part of the symphony of now.
You are not a separate observer,
Watching from the outside.
You are woven into this beautiful tapestry.
The sound,
The breath,
The heartbeat,
This moment itself.
Perfectly whole and perfectly enough.
Now begin to sense your body again.
The weight of your hands,
The steadiness of the ground beneath you.
Breathing gently,
Easily.
As you return,
Remember life does not need to be forced.
You see you are already a part of it.
You're already flowing,
Already dancing.
Carry this sense of ease with you.
A reminder that the dance is now.
And you belong to it.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes now.
Notice the light and the space around you.
And as you move back into your day or evening,
May you remember to meet each moment like a dancer meets the music.
Not as something to fight against.
Meet it with something to enjoy.
