Good morning,
My name is Mark.
It's a pleasure to share this early morning sunrise meditation with you.
It's designed to help cultivate positivity and gratitude as you embark on this new day.
So if you are ready,
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Allowing your body to be supported by the earth beneath you.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep cleansing breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs up completely.
Hold this breath for a moment,
And then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension you may be holding.
Now,
Repeat this deep breathing twice more,
Each time allowing yourself to become more present in this moment.
Now,
Let your breath settle into a natural steady rhythm.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing in peace and calm.
And with each exhale,
Visualise releasing any stress or worry that's within.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest,
The coolness of the air as it enters your nostrils,
And the warmth as it leaves.
Allow yourself to fully arrive now in this space,
In this moment,
Into now.
Now,
Imagine yourself seated on a soft patch of grass,
Overlooking a vast serene horizon.
The sky above you is painted with the soft hues of dawn,
Gentle pinks,
Purples and oranges blending seamlessly in the distance.
You notice the first glimmer of the sun peeking above the horizon,
Its golden rays beginning to illuminate the whole world around you,
And within you.
Now,
As the sun continues to rise,
Its warm light reaches out to touch your skin,
Enveloping you in a gentle embrace.
Feel this warmth seep into your being,
Filling you with a sense of renewal,
Hope and infinite possibility.
Now,
With each passing moment,
The light grows ever brighter,
And you become more attuned now to the beauty and potential that this brand new day holds for you.
Now,
Feel this gratitude expanding within you,
Radiating from your heart centre and touching every part of your being.
Let it fill you up,
Replenish you,
Creating a reservoir of positivity and appreciation that you can draw upon throughout this beautiful day.
Now,
Gently turn your attention to the coming day ahead.
Consider how you wish to navigate the experiences that await you.
Now,
Silently in your mind,
Set a positive intention for today.
It could be something like,
I will approach today with kindness and patience,
Or I choose to find the joy in the simple moments.
Repeat this intention a few times,
Allowing it to resonate deep within you,
Aligning your mind and your heart with this positive direction.
Visualise yourself moving through the day,
Embodying this intention.
Responding to situations and people,
In alignment with this positive focus.
To further solidify this positive mindset,
Repeat these following affirmations silently or aloud if you would prefer.
I am grateful for this new day and the opportunities it will bring to me.
I carry the warmth of the sunrise within me,
Illuminating my path.
I approach today with a heart full of gratitude and positivity.
Feel this truth of these words as you say them,
Letting them sink into your consciousness and guide your actions throughout the day.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Reconnecting now with your physical surroundings.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Still carrying the warmth of that sunrise in the depth of your gratitude and the positivity of your intentions into the day ahead.
