Welcome back to 30 Days of Soul Curriculum through the lens of a soul art journey.
Each day I've been bringing you insights from my soul art journey.
The last week we worked a bit on just the insights from creating the soul art.
And yesterday I began to introduce the theme of embodiment,
Embodiment of the soul art.
And I talked about how we start to participate in our life in a different way.
Embodying.
So today I'm going to talk about one of those embodying experiences,
But let's start with just closing down the eyes.
Take a nice breath.
Exhale through the mouth.
And we're just going to begin to open and balance our energy centers.
Just imagining for a minute a stream of rainbow light coming up through the bottoms of your feet.
Up to that root center,
That root chakra.
Imagine that rainbow light.
Circling spiraling all around the root chakra that root energy system Inhale through your nose.
And on the exhale,
Blow out a cool stream of air like you're blowing out a candle,
Letting go of anything that's stuck,
Anything you no longer need there in the root energy center.
Allow that rainbow light to move up to the sacral center.
That lower belly.
Feeling it spiral and circle.
Balancing all the energy clearing out what's stuck and inhale through your nose Exhale through your mouth,
Blowing the air out,
Cool stream through your lips,
Letting go of anything that's stuck,
That's no longer serving you.
Imagine that rainbow light coming up now to the solar plexus,
Our center sun.
Spiraling,
Circling in a clockwise direction.
Bringing energy and balancing that solar plexus.
Energy center.
At the navel.
Inhale through your nose.
And exhale through a cool stream of air through your lips.
Releasing.
Letting go.
Anything that no longer serves you,
That blocks.
Or stuck in your solar plexus.
Imagine that rainbow light moving up to the heart.
Circling,
Spiraling.
Cleansing,
Clearing the heart energy center.
Inhale through the nose.
Blow it out with a cool stream of air,
Letting go.
Anything that's not in our highest and greatest good.
Clearing.
Imagine that rainbow light going all the way up now to the throat chakra,
Spiraling,
Circling in a clockwise manner.
Clearing,
Balancing,
Aligning,
Energizing our throat chakra.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale,
Cool stream of air through the lips.
Letting go,
Releasing all the stuckness.
Imagine that rainbow light now moving up toward the Ajna,
The third eye,
The center of the forehead.
Feeling that circular spiral energy.
Clearing,
Cleansing,
Balancing,
Aligning.
Inhaling through your nose exhaling out with a cool stream of air.
Releasing letting go anything that doesn't serve you Imagine that rainbow light now going out through the top of the crown.
So the rainbow light is coming in through the bottoms of the feet,
Going through the root chakra.
The sacral chakra,
The solar plexus chakra,
The heart chakra,
The throat chakra.
The Ajna and third eye chakra,
And out the crown.
Feel that flow of energy all the way through the energy centers.
Inhaling through the nose exhaling a cool stream of air through your lips.
Clearing anything that's stuck.
Anything that doesn't serve you.
Take one last big breath.
Let it out with a sigh let your body move on that side whether you're shaking or stretching or moving and when you're ready you can open your eyes So we're going to talk about this center sun today.
And the reason I was working with the energy centers to ground us is because we have our own sun.
It is our solar plexus.
It is right here.
It's right at our Naval Center.
All the way from the front through the back through the spine our sacral center has an uh an energy and an aura to it And I was working my embodiment with the sun.
I ended up putting all of this yellow paint on my face.
So what happened is I created the soul art.
My husband,
We talked about it yesterday.
My husband said to me,
Which way is up?
And I was like,
Oh,
My gosh,
Because I hadn't created it this way.
And as soon as I saw this,
I saw that profile and I saw that sun.
And I saw this little sun behind the profile here.
And I immediately went into embodiment.
I immediately went into paint on myself.
And I'm going to show you some of those pictures and then we'll talk about the insights that came from this part of the embodiment.
Now,
Remember,
My intention is I am showing up for myself.
That was the intention for the whole soul art.
When I first put the yellow on my face,
I noticed that I had that sun,
Right?
That sun right there behind my profile.
And actually here is the sun behind the profile there.
So I thought it was perfect.
And when I put the paint on,
I didn't think about doing it perfectly.
I just,
Like you can see in this picture,
I just let it on.
I just let all that paint go on.
I didn't care about where it was.
I was feeling the energy and the essence of having the yellow of the paint go out in all directions.
And I was trying to create that,
But kind of within me,
Like,
What does that feel like to have that much energy,
That much output,
That much brightness,
That much brilliance,
That much wildness in its own way,
Right?
So you'll see,
It doesn't look quite.
Very polished,
Right?
I did a few more with the window.
But this is what it looks like face front.
And when I looked at it like this,
I thought,
Oh my gosh.
That looks like a bird.
It felt like a bird.
It felt like a beak.
It felt like the energy under wings,
Right?
You can kind of see,
Maybe you can see the birdness in it,
The wild in it,
The nature in it.
These are just some more pictures of the embodiment I did.
And I moved out of that space.
Into really looking at the sun.
And this was interesting because this is an altar for my book,
Which I created,
The Midnight Carnival,
Right?
And in it,
You can almost see like a bird-like cage.
And I realized when I looked at it,
When I looked at this picture,
That it's like the bird outside the cage.
It's like this wild,
You can't tame or cage a bird that is wild,
Right?
And then I did some more work with that.
And then I came back to the soul art to be there.
Over all of it.
Like I really made noises.
When I felt that burn energy,
I began to make the noises.
I began to feel the energy and the noises and the way my body wanted to move,
Right?
With that embodiment on it.
Now,
My insight that came from it was not only about the sun's energy,
But about the animal-ness of us,
Right?
The sun is something that really feeds all of nature.
It feeds all of nature.
Plants,
Right?
It brings energy to the animals on the planet.
There's energy just in its natural form.
And what I started to think was,
Well,
We are nature.
We're souls having a human experience,
But this human body is part of Mother Earth.
We are part of a huge system.
We are not separate from it.
We're not separate walking,
You know,
Along this earth.
We are part of it.
And the first thing,
When I began to think about how we are part of we have a support system anytime we need it.
We're supported just like those plants by the sun.
The sun gives us energy.
Right.
We can go and touch the trees and there are brothers and sisters.
Right.
We are part of this huge,
Beautiful community of wild.
Right.
So that was my first insight.
My second insight,
When I started working with the sun and the feeling of the sun on my face,
I could feel the energy it was giving me.
And that's when I started thinking about that solar plexus within our solar plexus,
Our little sun within and how it mirrors,
In a sense,
The sun that's outside and how much beautiful energy we get from the sun.
And then I also began to have an insight about wildness,
About feralness,
About fierceness,
And how they're all connected through nature,
Right?
I loved doing this embodiment and it freed me in order to go to the second part of embodiment,
Which was grief and the cherry blossoms.
But I needed to find that wild,
Feral part of me that was willing to go forward,
Right?
That was willing to say,
Yeah,
I'm going to tackle it.
I'm going to be with it.
I'm going to,
You know,
I'm going to hunt it.
I'm going to be the predator.
I'm going to be the prey,
All of that.
And I felt that in that yellow on my face.
And it all came from this piece of the sun here that I put.
And really the rays that come off of it.
So we're going to work with I am the sun.
I am the sun.
I am nature.
I am wild.
The sun is wild.
I am wild,
Right?
This whole idea that we are nature,
That we are Gaia.
Gaia is us.
We are part of it.
We are part of the beautiful,
Amazing whole picture that we are not alone in anything.
And when we need energy,
We just need to tap into that wild fierceness of the sun,
That beautiful nourishing warmth of the sun,
And be reminded that we have our own sun within us in our solar plexus.
Okay,
So let's go ahead and do a little bit of visualization.
So closing your eyes,
Inhaling through your nose.
Sigh it out.
Inhale through the nose.
Sigh it out.
Move your body however it needs to move.
And I just want you to imagine that you are in front of the sunrise.
It could be anywhere.
Not everybody can see things visually when they close their eyes.
So if you're just in knowing,
That's beautiful.
That's absolutely beautiful.
Just know.
Know that you're in front of the sunrise.
I want you to feel the warmth of that beautiful sunrise,
Those beautiful colors,
The oranges,
Yellows,
Pinks,
Right?
Maybe even reds in there.
Just breathe in the sunrise.
Allow it to warm your skin.
Feel the sensations in your body when that sun is on you.
That beautiful morning sun,
That courageous and wild sun that rises every day.
Right?
To feel that.
See what kind of sensations does that bring up in your body as you breathe into that sun.
You might even imagine as you inhale,
You're breathing the sun's energy directly into your own navel center,
Your own solar plexus.
Inhaling from the sun into the solar plexus.
Within your body.
Letting it expand.
And when you exhale,
You can blow it again through your lips,
A cool stream of air,
Giving back to the sun anything that's no longer needed.
Giving it back to burn off the things that are stuck.
The things that are clogging and sluggish.
Give it back to the sun to burn it off.
So become one with the sun here in the sense of breathing in the sun into your solar plexus,
Into your little sun.
Expanding with the wildness with the warmth,
With the nourishment.
Exhaling bluing.
Cool stream of air through your lips.
Giving back anything that's no longer needed.
Just sit here with the sun,
Inhaling the sun.
On its trip back up into the sky.
And exhaling,
Giving it anything that needs to be clear,
That needs to be let go of.
Releasing.
And notice as you keep breathing in this way.
The more energized your solar plexus becomes,
The more you might be able to feel into your courage,
Your fierceness,
Your wildness.
Your energy.
Exhaling,
Giving anything that you no longer need back to the sun to be burned away.
Feel what that feels like.
Let the solar energy fill you.
You might even imagine as you're inhaling and exhaling with the sun that you are part of the same force.
That moves seasons.
That feeds forests.
That blazes across the sky,
That warms a planet.
Feel that within you.
Feel that power.
Feel that strength.
Feel that fierceness.
Breathe it in.
Exhale through your lips.
Give it back to the sun,
Anything that needs to go.
What wants to blaze through you right now?
Let yourself feel the beginning.
Of this mini sun within you,
Burning brighter.
I'm going to ask you a few questions.
Keep your eyes closed.
Stay breathing with that sunrise.
You can let them pass through.
Or you can hold onto one and bring it into your breathing.
What solar wildness is ready to blaze through you right now?
Where in your life have you been trying to tame your fierceness?
How can you honor?
The immediate aliveness.
That wants to emerge.
And what would you create?
How would you move through your life?
What would you say if you trusted?
This aliveness this beautiful energy of the sun that's inside of you that mirrors the sun all that power,
All that courage,
All of that beauty,
That warmth,
That nourishment.
What would you do with it?
So take one more deep breath.
From that sun to your solar plexus expanding throughout your body.
Let go with one big sigh.
You might want to shake your body out for a minute.
Let that internal energy get moved around your body.
Shake it out a little bit.
Let it move.
Spread across your limbs across your spine across your back across your head across your feet Feel it.
You are the sun,
My friend.
The sun is wild.
You are wild.
You're part of this beautiful Mother Earth.
You don't have to have permission to blaze to be bright to be courageous.
You don't have permission to have the energy.
That's what today is about,
My friends.
I'm leaving you with the energy of the sun.
How beautiful and far and wide reaching it is not only in the earth but within you and how it connects.
And you can use that breath with the sun anytime you need for energy,
For courage,
For fierceness.
Right?
For direct action.
Just breathing in the sun into your solar plexus,
Letting it expand and letting go of anything you do not need.
So thank you so much for coming today,
My friends.
Namaste.
