Welcome back to 30 days of soul curriculum through your everyday life.
And I'm showing it through my soul art process because sometimes it's easier to see it through another process that's outside of yourself.
So this is my soul art and we'll be working through all kinds of pieces of a soul art journey that I've been on for over a month.
This week has been really about the process of creating the art,
But the following weeks are going to be a lot more about what happens when you're allowing things to steep,
When you're in the process,
But maybe not doing it.
And each of these insights has pieces for all of you in your own lives.
And some of them won't quite match because,
You know,
Life is crazy and sometimes we need to shake it out and sometimes we need to steep.
Sometimes we need to walk around and see perspective.
And sometimes,
You know,
It just changes.
We're beautiful human beings and beautiful human lives.
So today we're going to talk a bit about the idea of looking at something a few different ways.
And I'll show you through my solar.
I have a bunch of pictures to show you of different pieces of this.
I want everyone to just sit where you are.
Keep your eyes open.
And I just want you to look around your space.
Look around from wherever you are in your space.
Look around.
Just look around.
Look all around your space.
And just notice.
And if you have the opportunity,
If you can,
I want you to get up.
I can't,
But get up.
Walk to another place in your space.
And do the same thing.
Look around.
Notice the difference in light from one part of your room to another,
Maybe.
The different shadows,
The different way something gleans,
The different way your attention is brought to something that is there.
Well,
Maybe when you were standing in one part of the room,
You saw your plant,
But when you stand on the other part of the room,
You see something different.
Maybe you see the design on the planter,
Right?
Just notice.
The difference between one area of your room looking around all over.
And then changing your literal where you are,
Right?
And look around again and look and see what opens up to you.
I do it with my daughter's room because she's nine and she doesn't clean a lot.
Like she cleans,
But she's a mess maker.
She's creative,
Right?
And sometimes I'll go in there and I'm looking for something and I'll just sit there and then I'll look from a different perspective and then I'll look from a different perspective to try to find what I'm trying to find.
And I always find like these beautiful,
Awesome things that she's created that are hidden unless you look at it from a certain angle.
And we approach this with curiosity.
We approach it with curiosity.
What can I find?
What is there,
Right?
This soul art here,
It's vertical right now,
But I didn't create it like that.
I actually created it in a landscape.
And when I had finished,
And I'm like,
I know it's finished,
And I know I'm supposed to be doing something else with it,
Right?
I wasn't going to do any more visual art with it.
I knew it was finished,
But I was like,
Why am I waiting?
And I called my husband up.
I said,
Can you come look at my soul art and just tell me,
Does it feel finished to you?
Because it feels finished,
But it doesn't feel finished,
Right?
And the first thing he did when he came up was,
Well,
Which ways to up?
And I was like,
What?
He goes,
Which way is up?
I'm like,
Oh,
I don't know.
And I started to stand on all the different angles,
All the different,
Like,
So from the bottom is a portrait,
From the side,
From the top.
And I started looking at it in all different ways.
And it wasn't until I found this orientation that I was like,
Oh,
That's it.
And when I saw this one,
And I'll show you on my iPad because it's easier to see.
Each iteration holds a different part of the journey.
And I had no idea I was creating this.
Right.
This is how I painted it.
And I had these like cherry blossoms coming in from here.
The spiral is here.
This is what I was creating.
And I could see the sun and maybe some mountains.
And then I have this hummingbird here.
But that's how I created it the whole way.
Then I turned it this way.
And can you all see the hand holding the spiral?
Can you all see the hand,
The offering,
Holding the spiral,
Offering it out toward the direction of when you look at it this way,
It's a hand.
Offering.
So interesting.
And then when you look at it this way,
Can you see the,
It's almost like a solar plexus.
Can you see it's like the stomach and the womb and the solar plexus here and a hand that's pushing it in,
Pushing the spiral in.
This is what I saw in this one.
And that's the pressure I think I feel a lot,
Right?
The pressure of keeping things in,
Of figuring out what to put out.
So this is definitely not showing up for myself.
It's like.
.
.
I got to see that part of it.
And this is the way that I ended up using it.
And I want to see if you guys see it.
This,
I felt I saw my higher self in this.
It looks like a person.
Right?
Like a profile,
The flower and the sun,
And it's almost like the Ajna combined.
And then a hand or something over the mouth.
Do you see like the profile face there?
And this this really I felt like I was seen when I saw this angle.
It was like my higher self in there and everything was lighting up.
But,
You know,
It's like,
OK,
Don't speak now.
Be in the silence.
I'm just witnessing.
And when I saw that,
When I saw that that version,
That that that orientation of it,
I like everything went.
How did I create that without even,
Like,
I wasn't doing it in that direction.
I was doing it in the other direction,
You know?
There's little things in each direction that make sense to the journey,
Right?
There's the offering.
I was working very ancestral in the journey of showing up for myself,
Right?
My whole family has not shown up for themselves.
It's kind of like my ancestral wound that I'm healing for my family.
And then that whole like pushing in and,
You know,
Holding back and putting the pressure on.
There were all these pieces in each orientation.
But when I hit that one,
I was like,
Oh,
My God,
That's my higher self.
That's my higher self.
I see it.
I felt it.
I was like.
And then I went into embodiment work,
Which we're going to talk about starting on Monday.
Like we're getting off the soul art into the embodiment work and that phase of the soul art.
But that that moment of seeing it in that orientation,
I was like.
Oh my God,
That's it.
That's it,
Right?
And I can do it with any orientation.
I can find pieces within any orientation.
But see,
This is how it is.
And so you can see the profile.
I'm kind of,
The profile's there.
It's almost like the hand here.
You'll see that if you come back when we talk about embodiment.
I did a lot of work around this one.
So sometimes it's about orientation.
Sometimes it's not about shaking it out.
Sometimes it's not about steeping.
Sometimes it's just about how do I look at this in a different way,
Right?
How do I see what I can find?
And you have to go with an open mind.
Yeah,
I'm going to search for something in all of these ways.
You have to kind of relax the mind and open your eyes and live in curiosity while you do it,
Because that's how you find these things.
Right.
But if you're looking for in your like real in that magnifying glass and really looking,
Then you you're not going to see it because you're trying to find you're like excavating to try to find it.
Right.
You just have to open up your mind.
It's almost sometimes what I do is I unfocus my eyes a bit.
Automatic writing right and i unfocus my eyes to like see what i'm writing so i can see what i'm writing but i'm not like really my eyes are not really focusing on it right and and then you just walk around and see it in different places and that's how you find those gifts you can't be in that right so this is what we're going to work on today So just doing a little bit,
If there's a situation in your life,
Whatever it be,
You can pick a different one each day.
We all have a thousand situations in our life that we're like working on and moving through.
Some of the situations have little things within them,
Right?
So whatever you're looking at in your life right now,
Just pick one.
Just close your eyes and place that situation in your mind.
And I want you to place yourself.
As a witness to that situation.
So place yourself outside of it.
So just imagine that situation.
You could imagine it like a thing,
Like a map,
Like a place,
Like an environment,
However you want to imagine it.
And just picture.
In this situation,
Whatever one you choose.
And then place yourself.
Outside of it to witness it.
For a second,
Just look at this situation.
Just look at it.
Relax that mind.
You can imagine the muscle of the mind,
Like a little.
.
.
Like almost like a fist unfurling,
Right?
Just gently opening or a bloom opening.
Just imagining your mind opening gently,
Unfurling,
Not holding the pressure,
And just looking at this situation,
Looking at what you are working on here.
Take it in.
Imagine the muscles of your mind.
And the muscles of your mind and the muscles behind your eyes,
All the little muscles just.
.
.
Receptive,
Open.
And simply look at this situation.
Notice what you see,
Notice colors,
Symbols.
Notice if you hear anything.
If anything comes up in your knowing,
Just notice them.
Don't grab,
Just notice,
Right?
Just awareness,
Just notice.
And now I want you as a witness to walk onto another side of this thing that you're working on.
Keep your mind and your eyes.
Gentle.
Receptive.
And look at this situation from the other point of view.
Maybe something comes through.
Maybe you feel a felt sense.
Maybe you see a different color.
Maybe you see a word.
Maybe you smell something,
Hear something.
Maybe the feeling in your body is different.
Maybe instead of tight,
It's expansive.
Where instead of expansive,
It's tight.
Just take in this thing you're working on from another.
Position around it Remember to keep that muscle of the mind soft.
The muscles behind the eyes,
All of those soft.
Because even if her eyes are closed,
That tension can be there.
Maybe go to another side of this thing that you're working on.
One that you haven't been to yet.
Just look at it.
Take it in.
Breathe it in.
Is there an angle you were missing?
Is there information in your felt sense?
Is there information in your inner vision?
Breathe it in,
Relaxing the muscle of the mind.
You allowing the muscles behind the eyes to relax.
Maybe pick that last orientation,
Move to a different orientation.
Maybe you go above it.
Or below it.
Maybe you can see the roots of it.
Maybe you can see the wings of it.
Remember that unfurling of the mind.
The relaxing of the muscles behind the eyes.
Breathing it in,
What does it look like from this perspective,
From this orientation?
And this is something that you can do on your own for a longer period of time.
Just take a nice deep breath,
Bring yourself back into your body.
Ah,
When you are looking at that thing that you're working on,
You can take a symbol that represents it.
You can look at the environment.
You could see what comes up.
Like there's so many different ways to play with this and looking around it.
This is a very,
When I did it with my soul art,
It was very concrete,
Right?
Because I had this piece of paper and I got to look at it and I got to stand around it.
When we're looking at things we're working on in our mind,
In our hearts,
In our bodies,
Right?
All of that.
Then we can choose different ways to look at it,
Awareness.
So yeah,
Try this on a longer,
I like to do this when I'm in the bath,
When I'm working on something.
I'll close my eyes in the bath and I'll just start to really explore all the orientations of what I'm trying to work on.
Like,
Can I see it from this angle?
Do I see it from this angle,
From above,
From below?
And remember,
The most important part of that is to keep that muscle of the mind really relaxed or opened up.
So even just bringing your awareness before you do it to the muscle of the mind.
Because if we get real tight with the mind,
Real tight with the eyes,
And those muscles behind the eyes,
Then we're searching for something specific.
You're not going to see the gift of what is there naturally.
I would never have seen this face.
If I wasn't like,
Hmm,
What is the top?
I don't know which way is up.
You know,
Thank gosh for my husband for telling me that,
To look that way,
Giving me that question.
So real quick,
I'll give you a few questions.
What in your life.
.
.
Right now might need a perspective shift instead of a solution.
When you imagine your higher self looking at your current situation,
What do you see?
Where have you been assuming there's only one right way to orient yourself?
I worked on this for weeks thinking that I had the right area.
Like I was working from one direction and that was it.
I'd never changed it.
And I'm like,
Of course this is it.
Right.
So where where are you like assuming and you're sure that there's only one right way to orient this situation or orient yourself?
And what orientation feels like home for your soul right now with this?
Thing that you're working on.
So next time you're stuck,
Remember,
It might not be that there's a solution that you need.
It might be that you need to steep on it.
You need to shake it out or you might need to like just sit with it in your mind to become the witness and see it from all the different orientations.
But remember that relaxing the muscle of the mind,
Relaxing the muscles behind the eyes,
Because that way you are open to the new orientation,
If that makes sense to you.
You know,
You want to find that orientation where the soul recognizes itself.
Where it's your higher self,
Right?
This was my higher self.
This is my soul speaking to me,
Right?
And in each situation in your life,
That might be just what you need.
And that's where you hear the heartbeat of what wants to happen,
Right?
So thank you so much.
I hope you all had a wonderful time.
Namaste,
My friends.
