I'm Jocelyn.
This is the fourth in a series of journaling into the chakras.
This is about the heart chakra.
I'll be bringing you through a short meditation and some visualization with the heart chakra where we allow for curiosity and creativity.
Once we're done with the meditation,
There will be 10-15 minutes of music and frequency that you can utilize to write into whatever responses you had during the visualization or any inspirations you found along the way.
I would suggest that whatever you're going to journal in,
Whether it be a journal,
A paper and pen,
Or if it's a keyboard or your laptop,
I would suggest that you have that nearby for when we're finished with the meditation and visualization so that you have a place to put down your thoughts as soon as possible.
So just taking a moment to find some presence in the body,
To bring your awareness down internally,
To maybe be a witness to your breath as you inhale and you exhale,
To feel the way your body moves under the current of breath,
Maybe opening your inner ears,
Inviting them to open to any sounds on this recording or in your space,
Outside your space,
Even inside your body,
Just allowing your awareness to settle in on the sound waves and the sound vibrations that are all around you.
Just taking a moment to place your awareness over the heart chakra or the heart center.
Might I invite you,
With the next few breaths you take,
To imagine that your breath is being born out of the center of the heart chakra.
And as you inhale,
That breath expands out in all directions.
And as you exhale,
The breath comes right back to the center point of the heart chakra.
You might inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth,
Imagining that this breath is beginning and ending at the very center point of the heart center or the heart chakra.
And you can breathe in your own time.
There's no reason to manipulate your breath.
Your body knows just how to breathe.
At night,
You just continue imagining that each breath is born out of the center of the heart chakra,
Expanding out.
And on each exhale,
The breath comes back to that very center of the heart chakra.
With every exhale,
Allowing the body to rest a bit further.
With every inhale,
The softening of the body to receive.
And with every exhale,
The allowing and inviting in of rest.
I'm going to walk you through a rotation of consciousness.
I invite you to simply listen to my voice as I guide your awareness across the body.
And each time that my voice brings you to a new place on the body,
Might you imagine that that place of the body becomes porous like a sponge ready to receive.
Might you imagine that each place I bring your awareness and attention to,
That it becomes porous like a sponge ready to receive and soak up all of the love,
All of the joy.
Bringing your awareness to the heart center.
Imagining a heart center becoming porous and softening,
Ready to receive love.
The collarbone becoming porous,
Softening,
Ready to receive and soak in love.
The shoulders gently becoming porous and releasing what they hold onto.
The upper arms,
Elbows,
Releasing all the tension,
Becoming porous like a sponge.
Wrists,
Back of the hands,
All 10 fingers of the hands softening and becoming porous,
Ready to receive and soak in.
To be quenched by love.
Palms of the hands,
Insides of the wrists,
Insides of the elbows.
Lightly becoming porous,
Letting go and getting ready to receive and soak up.
The armpits,
Front ribs,
Back ribs,
Lightening,
Becoming a bit more porous like a sponge.
The shoulder blades,
Porous like a sponge,
Able to receive.
The back of the neck,
The base of the skull,
The muscle of the mind,
Might you imagine the muscle of the mind softening,
Becoming a bit more porous.
A bit more open to receiving like a sponge.
The back of the head,
Top of the head,
And the mind's eye,
Might you imagine the mind's eye softening,
Becoming porous like a sponge,
Ready to receive.
All the love,
The light,
The joy.
The bridge of the nose,
The right eye,
Eyelid,
Globe of the eye.
Eye socket and all of the muscles behind the right eye,
Becoming just a bit more porous,
Like a sponge,
Ready to receive.
Right temple,
Right ear,
All the cartilage in the right ear,
Ear lobe,
Folds of the ear,
The ear canal.
The space between the ears,
Becoming soft and porous,
Like a sponge.
The left ear,
Ear canal,
Folds of the ear,
All the cartilage around the ear,
Ear lobe,
Softening,
Becoming porous,
Like a sponge to receive.
Left temple and left eye,
Eyelid,
Globe of the eye,
All the bones of the eye socket,
And all the little muscles behind the left eye,
Lightening,
Becoming more porous.
Open to receiving,
To absorb.
The tip of the nose,
Both cheekbones,
And the jaw,
Becoming slightly more porous,
Like a sponge,
Ready to absorb the love,
The light.
The joy,
The lips,
The inside of the mouth,
Inside of both cheeks,
Roof of the mouth,
The floor of the mouth,
The teeth and gums,
The tongue.
Becoming a bit porous,
Softening and releasing in order to receive.
The back of the tongue,
The back of the neck,
The back of the heart,
The right side of the heart,
Becoming porous.
Releasing in order to receive.
The front of the heart,
And the left side of the heart.
The whole heart,
Becoming porous,
Like a sponge,
Releasing in order to receive the love,
Light,
Joy.
The waist and lower belly,
The pelvis and the pelvic bowl,
The tailbone,
Becoming just a bit more porous.
Allowing for room to absorb the love and the energy.
Both hips,
The tops of the feet,
Releasing in order to receive,
Becoming more porous,
Like a sponge to absorb.
All 10 toes,
And the bottoms of the feet,
Both legs becoming just a tiny bit more porous to allow to receive.
Like a sponge,
The whole upper torso,
Including the head and the arms,
And the whole body lightening up.
Feeling a sense of weightlessness from the release.
Being a bit more porous,
Like a sponge to the experiences all around you.
And bring your awareness now back to the heart center.
I invite you to keep your awareness here in the heart center,
The heart chakra,
While I speak a bit about the energy of the heart chakra.
Some of the words or ideas or feelings that are associated with the heart chakra are the ability to give and receive love,
Compassion,
Empathy,
And peace.
It is a chakra of authenticity,
And often when we're not in relationship with our heart chakra,
We can have blocked emotions,
Lack of self-confidence,
A lot of inner critic,
Grief,
And shame.
I invite you to notice as I say those things again,
If you have any response here in your heart chakra to any of these words,
Ideas,
Or emotions.
The ability to give and receive love,
Compassion,
Love,
Joy,
Inner peace.
When we're not in communication with our heart chakra,
You might feel blocked,
You might feel a lack of self-confidence,
Or compassion,
Grief,
And shame,
Fear of rejection even.
There is so much connected with the heart chakra,
And take notice for yourself what kind of responses you got to those words,
Emotions,
Ideas.
Did anything fly through your mind or your body while listening?
Did you have any sensations in your body,
On the surface of your body?
Did you feel an emotion internally?
Did you hear your inner critic come out to play?
While we have our awareness here in the heart chakra,
Might you feel the flow of energy around the heart space?
Your flow may change from day to day.
Some days it might be a trickling stream of energy,
And other days a still puddle,
And yet other days an ocean,
Or a deep river.
Can you get a sense today what the flow in your heart chakra is like?
Does it have a speed,
Or a depth?
Does it have a pattern?
There is no wrong or right to this question.
Whatever you feel,
You feel.
I invite you now to,
With a few more breaths,
Expand the energy flow of your heart center with each inhale,
And each exhale,
Bring it right back to the center of the heart chakra.
So for three breaths,
Inhaling from the center of the heart chakra,
Allowing the inhale to carry the energetic flow of your heart center out in all directions,
And on the exhale,
Bring it back to the center of the heart.
So for three breaths,
Inhaling from the center of the heart chakra,
Allowing the inhale to carry the energetic flow of your heart center out in all directions,
And on the exhale,
Bring it back to the center of the heart.
So for three breaths,
Inhaling from the center of the heart chakra,
Allowing the inhale to carry the energetic flow of your heart.
So for three breaths,
Inhaling from the center of the heart chakra,
Allowing the inhale to carry the energetic flow of your heart.
So for three breaths,
Inhaling from the center of the heart chakra,
Allowing the inhale to carry the energetic flow of your heart.
Opening up all of your senses.
What do you see here?
What is present?
Are you alone?
Are there colors or shapes,
Things?
What does it look like from the very center of your heart chakra?
Are there windows and doors?
Is it underground or above ground?
What does the environment look like?
And it's totally okay if you don't see anything.
Not all of us are visual people,
But you might have a knowing.
What do you know here at the apex of your heart chakra?
What knowing is there to be had here?
Opening up your ears,
What sounds do you hear in this place of your heart chakra?
Are they sounds of nature or music or poetry?
Words of loved ones?
Or is there silence?
What do you hear at the center of your heart chakra?
Opening up now your nose to the aromas in this place.
Are they deep and rich or are they flowery?
What do you notice here about the aromas?
And what does it feel like to be standing here in the center of your heart chakra?
Does it feel in balance or off balance?
Is there a temperature?
What does your body feel like here in the center of your heart chakra?
There is no way to get this wrong.
What does it feel like here to be standing in the center of your heart chakra?
Do emotions arise?
Slowly turn your body in the same spot 360 degrees and take in the magnificence of your heart chakra from all sides.
Did you find something unexpected behind you or to the right or left?
Might you imagine for a moment that this miniature you standing in the center of your heart chakra begins to grow and grow and grow.
Until your heart chakra starts to shift into a being that's standing in front of you.
Who is this being?
What do they look like?
Sound like?
What are the mannerisms of your heart chakra?
I'm going to stay quiet for a minute.
And you can choose to open up a conversation with your heart chakra or to simply be in presence and witness your heart chakra.
And taking a moment to say goodbye to thank your heart chakra being.
Taking a moment to say what you need to say to let them go for now.
And beginning to bring your breath into your belly for a nice deep inhale through the nose.
Feel the breath coming in.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
Feel the breath going out.
Inhaling through your nose to your deep lower belly.
Feeding all your cells with oxygen.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time,
Breathing in through the nose down into the lower belly.
Feeling your body move with the breath.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And you might want to let some voice out on this one.
You might want to put a hand on your heart to thank your heart,
Your heart center,
Your heart chakra for being present with you today.
And when you're ready,
You might want to wiggle your body a little,
Maybe shake a gentle micro shake out of the head or the shoulders.
You might want to stretch,
Full body stretch,
Just to wake up all the parts of your body.
And when you're ready,
You can begin to blink open your eyes and go ahead and get your paper and pen or your keyboard,
Whatever you're going to be writing on.
And just give yourself a minute to jot down anything you remember,
Any responses that you had.
And whether you're writing here to personally journal or to tap into your creativity,
You can start with the responses to the visualization.
And once you get that out,
Maybe listing or stream of consciousness writing so that it's outside of yourself and you can move further into your writing.
If you're personally writing,
You might want to write about memories that came up,
Feelings that came up,
Sensations that came up when you felt them before,
When you not felt them at all.
Write into anything you heard,
The words,
The sounds,
Maybe what you were talking about with your heart center if you had a conversation.
And if you're writing creatively,
You can write into all the different aspects of your heart center.
Each aspect can be a piece of the collage for a character,
A story,
An environment,
Or an action.
So start by picking one thing that you responded to and begin just like you breathed into the flow of energy of the heart chakra to expand it.
Write into that first thing you responded to and expand it like the breath.
Expand the idea and see what else is laying in there.
You might find characters,
Ideas,
Stories.
And when you're ready,
You can go on to the next thing you had a response to.
Be open to the flow of your heart chakra and what it has to offer you as a creative person.
