Welcome to the wave breath for focus and flow,

Thank you for taking this time just for you.

Let's take a few minutes to just simply breathe,

To find a sense of calm and grounding.

Make yourself comfortable whether you're seated or lying down,

Find a position that feels really supportive.

Take a moment to settle in and as you do just allow your eyes to close and feel your body begin to relax.

Let your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your head,

Your arms,

Hands,

Chest,

Abdomen,

Hips,

Legs,

Feet and toes,

Just let them release and let go.

Now gently focus in on your breath,

Just notice it exactly as it is.

There's no need to change anything,

Just feel the rise and fall of your breathing knowing that this simple act of breathing in and breathing out is enough.

The practice of the wave breath is a gentle three-part breath that moves in waves through your body helping you connect deeply with each inhale and exhale.

We'll start by you breathing into your belly and allow this expansion in your belly to feel natural and easy.

Then let the breath flow up into your ribs and finally into your chest.

Then we'll release it all the way back down flowing out in the same rhythm.

Imagine each breath like a wave softly building up,

Pausing and receding back.

Let's try it together now.

Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and guide it down into your belly.

Feel your belly rise gently as you breathe in like the first part of a wave lifting onto the shore.

Now keep inhaling and let the breath flow upwards expanding into your ribs.

Finally let the breath rise up all the way into your chest reaching the very top of this wave.

Hold at the peak of the wave and now as you begin to exhale let the breath release first from your chest softening down.

Imagine the wave receding flowing out.

Let it move down from your chest to your ribs letting them gently draw back in like the water drawing back from the shore.

And finally feel your breath flow down to your belly letting it soften completely as the last of the wave flows out.

Let's repeat this together finding that steady rhythm like gentle waves.

Just take your next inhale,

Fill your belly,

Expand into your ribs,

Let it rise all the way to your chest and then pausing for a soft moment at the peak.

And as you exhale let it flow out chest,

Ribs,

Belly feeling yourself grounded with each wave.

Keep breathing in this rhythm at your own pace.

Imagine each inhale as a wave lifting you a little higher filling you with calm and ease and each exhale as that wave flows back carrying away any tension or stress you no longer need.

Now visualize yourself by the ocean each breath rising and falling with each wave flowing,

Pausing,

Flowing out.

Feel how steady and natural this rhythm is.

Your breath in sync with the world around you.

As you inhale feel your body expand open and receive and as you exhale let it soften,

Release and ground you more deeply.

Notice how each wave leaves you feeling a bit lighter,

A bit clearer and just allow yourself to sink into this feeling.

Wonderful.

Just take a few more breaths like this feeling each wave of breath moving through you leaving you with a sense of calm,

Focus,

Flow and grounding in its place.

And when you're ready just let your breath return to its natural rhythm.

Just observe your breath for a moment noticing any sensations of calm or clarity within you.

Now take a moment to thank yourself for this pause.

Now take a moment to thank yourself for this pause for allowing yourself this time to simply be to breathe.

As we close remember that you can return to this breath practice any time.

Just as the ocean flows naturally so does your breath.

You have this steady rhythm within you ready whenever you need it.

Take one more deep breath in and a long gentle exhale.

As you go forward carry this calm,

This focus and flow with you.

And thank yourself with gratitude for taking this time for you.

Namaste my friend.
