Whether you're feeling calm,

Welcome.
This is simply a space where you can take a few moments to just come back to you,
Yourself.
So let's just begin by arriving exactly as you are.
And this quote from Anne Lamott,
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few moments,
Including you.
You don't need to do anything special today,
Just pause,
Rest.
So find your comfy space,
Warm and cozy,
Feel your body soften.
Gently close your eyes and just relax into this moment.
Allow your breath to be just as it is,
No need to change it or control it.
Just notice its natural rhythm,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathe in and gently lengthen your exhale.
Breathe in and exhale with a soft sigh as it leaves your body.
Breathe in and a slow,
Easy breath out,
Letting go of any stress or tension.
Feel your shoulders soften,
Your jaw release,
And just let your body settle in its own way because there's nowhere else you need to be,
Just here,
With this breath,
With this moment.
Now softly repeat these words,
I am allowed to slow down.
I am allowed to rest.
I am able to care for myself in small,
Gentle ways.
Just breathe in,
Reflect on those words and let them echo through your being.
Now allow your breath to just flow and as you rest here,
You might begin to sense a quiet,
Open space.
Maybe a soft meadow bathed in gentle,
Warm light.
And the air,
It feels so calm here,
It's easy to breathe.
And the ground beneath you is steady and so supportive.
Just see yourself lying down or sitting comfortably here.
You are simply held and above you there is a soft golden warmth like sunlight and it's resting quietly over you.
This light begins to reach you gently,
Not all at once,
Just a soft presence.
Now as this warm,
Healing light touches you,
You notice a subtle softening.
It's not because you're trying to relax,
It's because something in you is feeling safe.
Feeling safe to soften,
Even a little.
And the warmth from this light,
It doesn't rush,
It simply stays with you like a quiet companion.
If there's anywhere in your body that is feeling tight or tired,
This warmth can meet it gently.
Let yourself just be with this warm,
Soothing,
Nourishing light.
Let it flow to where it is most needed.

Drinking a glass of water with your full attention.
Stepping outside for a few moments of beautiful fresh air.
Or just giving yourself permission.
Permission to rest.
Permission to just be with you.
