Welcome to this guided sleep meditation.
My name is Yogi Brian.
Lie down in your bed or any place you'd like to fall asleep.
Keeping your body still,
Putting a blanket over the body,
And whenever you're ready,
Softly,
Gently close your eyes.
And allow yourself to just breathe,
Noticing your breath,
Observing your inhale and your exhale.
Clear away any to-do lists you have.
Clear away any expectations for this sleep meditation.
And all you have to do is breathe and listen to the sound of my voice.
I want you to open your eyes and find a spot above where you can focus your attention,
Where you can focus your eyes.
Not yet,
But in just a moment,
I'll count from 10 to 1.
And each number,
You'll blink your eye.
So let's start 10,
9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Now close your eyes and you notice your eyes are relaxing more and more.
Your eyelids are relaxing more and more.
And allowing your breath to just be your natural breath.
And allowing your body to surrender,
Feeling like your body is just melting.
Feeling like your body is heavier and heavier each and every breath you take.
Each and every breath you take,
You relax even more and more.
Whole body starts to relax.
And take a scan of your body.
Take a scan all the way up,
All the way down.
Just notice your body.
How does it feel?
Is there any tension in your body?
And there's nothing you need to do or control with that tension.
The body will start to relax on its own.
All you have to do is breathe.
And visualize your body 10 times heavier.
Sinking deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
Not yet,
But in just a moment.
I want you to picture yourself at the top of 10 stairs.
And you're looking down.
You'll be walking down these 10 stairs.
And each step you take,
You'll sink deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
Now imagine yourself at the top of these stairs,
Looking down.
You look down,
I'm going to take it through these 10 steps.
You're going to walk down these 10 steps.
And each step you take,
You relax even more and more.
Look down,
Take that first step 10.
And the next step,
9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
You're halfway there.
4,
3,
2,
1.
Your feet sink into a sandy beach.
Looking down at your feet,
Feel the warm sand.
And as you look up,
You see the horizon.
You see the water touch the sky.
You feel that cool breeze on your skin.
And you hear the waves crashing on the shore.
Smelling the smell of salt water.
Looking around,
Whole body is so relaxed.
I want you to notice beside you,
You see a piece of wood.
Take that piece of wood and write your name in the sand.
And you notice the waves start rolling in.
And the waves start to wash your name away.
I want you to watch your name and watch the waves wash it away.
And each and every wave,
You sink deeper and deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
You might even fall asleep.
Now notice there's a beach towel to the right of you.
And it's set up very nice,
Very comfortably.
And you walk over there and you lay down.
And there's an umbrella.
You have some shade.
You can close your eyes.
You can relax here right on the beach.
And it's perfect temperature.
Nice and warm,
But you feel that cool breeze.
And each and every breath you take,
You sink deeper and deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.
So deep,
You start to drift away.
Because your conscious mind is starting to let go.
Your conscious mind is starting to surrender.
And all those thoughts,
All those worries start to fade away like the waves crashing against the shore.
Waves roll in and the waves roll out.
And as you listen to those waves,
And as you listen to those waves,
As you're laying on the beach,
Your mind drifts away.
Your mind fades away.
And you sink deeper and deeper and deeper into a relaxed state so deep you fall asleep.
And as you fall asleep,
You get the most restful sleep.
