So welcome everyone to this special meditation.
I am Tremayne,
And today we will explore the process of letting go.
Whether you suffer from anxiety or simply can't manage your intrusive thoughts,
This meditation is for you.
We will tap into the coming and going of thoughts,
Softening our resistance,
And gain a better understanding of self.
Whether seated or laying down,
Find comfort.
Take a moment to scan the body from the top of the head to the tips of the toes.
How do you feel?
Notice where there's tension,
Where there's sweetness.
Ground your awareness in the body.
Return to gravity and feel fully connected to the earth,
Supported in presence.
Become fully aware of your breath,
Your inhales and exhales.
Begin to deepen your inhales and lengthen your exhaled breath,
Perhaps inhaling for a count of four and exhaling for five,
Or inhaling for five and exhaling for six,
Taking full breaths where you are.
Allow your back body to rise just as much as your front body,
Filling up with breath.
As you exhale,
Soften and relax within.
Become a distant observer of self.
Notice your thoughts,
Whether pleasant or unpleasant,
Coming and going.
Be curious with whatever rises,
Simply noticing without becoming attached.
Find the areas of tension within the body instead of avoiding them.
What do you notice?
How does it feel?
Know you are in full control.
When these nasty thoughts arise,
Take a moment to recognize them for what they are,
Thoughts.
Remind yourself that this does not serve you.
Notice how some thoughts may weigh heavier than others.
Acknowledge this and thank these thoughts,
For at some point they served a purpose,
Whether helpful or useless.
Now their time has come to an end.
Learn to change the narrative rather than reading into a false story.
This approach creates distance from your negative thoughts and current reality.
As you grow a better understanding of these challenges,
You will then be able to recognize them faster,
Resisting the urge to overthink and instantly feeling compassion towards self.
This creates room for healthy logic and reasoning.
Being present makes it easier to let go.
Learn to build trust with self.
Just like a cloud,
Allow your thoughts to flow,
Coming and going,
Arising and passing,
Coming and going,
Arising and passing.
Slowly come back to the breath.
Notice the ebbs and flows of your inhales and exhales.
Take a body scan from the top of the head to the tips of the toes.
Notice the peace within.
Rest in the comfort of ease,
Calm,
And clarity,
Remembering that a steady breath offers a steady mind.
Rest in this sweet spot,
For this is yours to come back to at any time your thoughts may escape you.
I really hope this practice was able to connect with you all,
Allowing you to have a better approach to the negative thoughts in your mind.
Trust that we all have them,
And we are all learning how to navigate through our thoughts,
Emotions,
Feelings,
Without making them feel a burden.
Listening to this guided meditation was definitely a first step to a healthy mind,
Body,
And soul.
Thank you so much.
I hope you enjoyed the practice.
With love always,
Tremaine.
