Very often we have a ton of thoughts streaming through our minds – and they are a kaleidoscope that has no beginning or end but is just an endless stream; Swami Vivekananda said. "We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far."

Namaste and welcome to the awareness of thoughts soundbite very often we have a ton of thoughts streaming through our mind and they are a kaleidoscope that has no beginning or end but it's just an endless stream Swami Vivekananda said we are what our thoughts have made us so take care about what you think words are secondary thoughts live they travel far so I would like to invite you to sit for a minute and observe how many thoughts pass through your mind all you have to do is count them you might notice that the thoughts form into different types of content such as pictorial or word and whichever flavor the thoughts might be for the next minute just count them and try not to interact with them for we are only counting the number of thoughts that arise in this present moment you might even have a dialogue as to the number of thoughts that are arising in this present moment such as oh I'm doing well with only two thoughts so far notice this also so when you're ready please close your eyes and allow yourself to notice starting now how many thoughts were you able to count it would be interesting to observe whether you had one long thought or four short thoughts were the thoughts soft or loud looping or insistent did your thoughts have pictures as you know we are visual thinkers how many of the thoughts were words without pictures how many of your thoughts had both a video and a sound going on so if you enjoyed this exercise please don't forget to give a thumbs up a like but most importantly let me know how this exercise works for you and you can do these thought exercises during the day whenever you have time just to bring a little bit more mindfulness into your day namaste
