This meditation will take you on a journey, a journey to relax your body and mind. During this guided meditation a kite will help rid your mind of any troubles or issues you cannot deal with. The meditation will gently end, allowing you to fall into a deep sleep. Please note: sleep cannot be guaranteed, but hopefully you will reach a place of relaxation. Hello and welcome to Tranquil Sleep Meditation.

My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.

Tonight's meditation is centered on clearing negativities that may be troubling you and which also may be out of your control.

So settle into your bed.

Focus on getting comfortable and cozy.

Pull the covers around you as you lay your head softly on your pillow.

Now gently allow your eyes to close.

Move your body a little just to be sure you're in the best,

Most comfortable position.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Another deep breath in and release.

One last time.

Deep breath in and release.

As you breathe steadily your body relaxes.

Let's check again that you are in the most comfortable position for your restful night's sleep.

Now before you settle down to sleep you're going to rid your mind of any troubles,

Any issues you cannot deal with,

Anything causing you anguish that is out of your control.

Outside you can hear the wind blowing.

It's a perfect time to fly a kite but first let's prepare.

In front of you is some paper and a pen.

The paper is magic paper and will dissolve in the wind.

Next to the paper is a long piece of string attached to a beautiful kite.

This kite is also magic.

You take a piece of paper and write upon it one of your troubles or worries.

It doesn't have to be lengthy.

Just a word or two will do.

The universe knows what you mean.

Now tie this piece of paper to the string on the kite and then repeat.

Take another piece of paper write down something you want to clear.

Now tie this around the string creating the kite's tail and again another piece of paper.

Maybe on this piece you write what's keeping you awake at night.

Now tie it to the string.

Now what's next?

Take another piece of paper.

Maybe there's someone who needs to leave your life but you don't know how to tell them yourself.

Write it on the paper.

Now tie it to the string.

Now take another piece of paper.

This time write all the things you say which hold you back from achieving your goals.

Okay tie this to the string.

Last one for now.

Take the last piece of paper.

Write down the thing that is out of your control.

The thing you should stop worrying about.

Now tie this to the end of the string.

You may have more things that you could have written but you can do them another time.

For now these will help.

You take the kite outside.

Don't worry if you've never flown a kite before.

Remember this is a magic kite.

There is no string for you to hold.

The kite will fly on its own.

Now hold the kite out in front of you.

When you are ready throw it into the air as high as you can.

Now watch as the kite soars up into the sky.

See the tail with all your pieces of paper flapping in the wind.

Watch as it soars to in acrobats in the sky.

As the kite rises up so your worries decrease.

You feel a lightness come over you.

You feel a weight lifting from your shoulders.

Keep watching as the kite gets higher and higher in the sky.

You feel a happiness inside of you.

You feel warmth in your heart.

The kite swirls way up in the sky.

It's so far away now it's barely visible.

Joy fills your being as your worries leave you.

The feeling of calmness comforts you.

The kite has disappeared and the winds are calming.

Peace covers the earth and all is well.

You return to your bed and snuggle in the warmth of your bed covers.

You breathe a sigh of relief as you know that tomorrow will be a brighter day.

A day full of good things.

You feel really sleepy now.

You feel content.

You feel happy.

Your body is so relaxed.

You're inviting sleep in.

You feel a calmness within you that you haven't felt for a while.

A calmness that envelops you in its warmth.

Your gentle breaths are soothing as you sleep.

We'll be full of fun in a deep,

Deep,

Deep sleep.
