Welcome to tranquil sleep meditation.
My name is Jacqueline and I am going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.
So if you are ready,
Settle into your most comfortable sleep position as you snuggle into your bed.
Move your body until you feel really comfy.
Pull the covers around you and enjoy their protection and warmth.
Now,
Take a breath,
As deep as you like.
As you prepare for our journey,
Close your eyes and breathe in.
Hold that breath for a moment and now gently allow the breath to flow out.
Again,
Breathe in,
Hold and release and feel your body starting to relax.
This is your time to sleep,
Your time to relax and leave the day behind.
Now,
As you breathe,
Allow the breaths to be a little longer than normal.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Now,
Breathe in your own rhythm as you allow yourself to totally relax.
Allow your forehead to relax.
Allow your eyes to relax.
Allow your cheeks to relax.
Allow your jaw to relax.
Now,
Allow your head to relax into your pillow.
Enjoy the comfort it brings as you feel yourself relaxing deeper and deeper.
Now,
Allow your whole body to relax as peace and stillness begin to take over.
As your body relaxes,
Your mind begins to wander on its own journey of relaxation.
As it wanders outside,
You see yourself sitting outside.
The air is warm and you feel totally at peace as you look around.
At first,
There is nothing much to see.
But then,
A short distance away,
You see a butterfly flying towards you,
Followed by another and another and a few more.
They gently fly in front of you.
They bring a smile to your face as you watch their graceful movements,
Each one so beautiful.
As you watch them for a moment and enjoy their divine beauty,
They are gorgeous.
And as you watch them,
You feel calm and your mind is soothed as the butterflies glide and flutter effortlessly before you.
Their short lifespans are a reminder for you to focus on the true meaning of life,
The people who make you happy,
The moments of simple enjoyment.
They remind you to stop worrying about the luxuries you don't have.
Simply enjoy the simple pleasure of life,
Such as life itself.
You watch the butterflies dance so gracefully in front of you,
Each one bringing joy and peace to your heart.
You watch as they gently dance on the air,
Fluttering from flower to flower,
So graceful and beautiful.
You sense that the butterflies are sharing with you their wisdom.
Like the butterfly,
We can be reborn,
Completely transformed,
And then find our wings and learn to fly again.
By retreating from the busyness of the world around us and going into our inner being,
We can find a stillness and peace which is simply divine.
When we are willing to face our own demons,
As we greet all the aspects of ourselves,
Some of which we probably don't want to face,
We are able to transform.
Through this inner journey,
We heal,
We grow and we evolve,
And then we emerge,
Like the butterfly,
Awakened and ready to fly.
Butterflies don't live long,
Only a few weeks or months.
Life is short,
Even for humanity.
Time moves quickly,
And so through the butterfly,
We are reminded to enjoy the here and now,
Because all too soon life is over.
So look for the good in each day.
Be thankful for all that you have,
And enjoy and give love to the people in your life.
You watch the butterflies for a few moments more.
They bring a smile to your face as they dance so freely.
Are you able to live your life freely?
To dance and be free?
What changes do you need to make in your life to live more in alignment with your authentic truth?
What could you do to live with more joy and freedom?
What changes do you need to make to light up your soul and bring a sense of wonder and fulfillment to your life?
Transformation is a normal part of life,
So trust in the process.
If you are not happy,
Make that change happen.
Allow transformation to happen.
You slowly hold your hand out,
And a butterfly lands upon it.
The butterfly is so light.
Up close it is even more beautiful.
The butterfly seems to have something it wants to tell you.
A message from a loved one in spirit.
An image or a name comes to mind.
This is the person sending you the message.
A message to comfort and reassure you.
Listen carefully to the message you are being given.
The butterfly leaves your hand,
And you feel deeply warmed by the encounter.
You notice the butterflies around you are leaving.
Most of them have flown away already,
But one or two are still around.
These are sending you calmness and relaxation for a peaceful night's sleep.
You take a calming breath in as the butterflies flutter around you.
You feel soothed and ready for sleep.
As you continue to watch the butterflies,
You are thankful for their guidance.
The butterflies hover a little above your head,
As if saying goodbye.
They turn and fly away,
And you watch until they slowly disappear from sight.
You give a sigh of gratitude,
And then realize you are tucked up in your bed.
Your mind is becoming sleepy as it relaxes along with your body.
So relaxed,
So relaxed.
Sleep is coming,
And you welcome it.
You've enjoyed watching the butterflies dance,
So carefree and easily,
You're nearly ready for sleep.
You are so relaxed.
You feel comforted as you allow the butterflies' blanket of peace to envelop you,
And you feel more and more relaxed and ready to sleep.
You feel tranquil.
You feel calm.
You feel relaxed.
You feel sleepy.
Your mind begins to close down and allow sleep to take over.
You feel so peaceful.
You feel so sleepy.
You are more relaxed than you have ever been,
And sleep is so close.
The journey with the butterflies has been so calming,
So enjoyable,
So relaxing.
Darkness covers you,
And peacefulness fills your heart.
As you feel so relaxed,
You are ready,
And you fall into a deep,
Deep sleep.
