My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.
So if you are ready,
Settle into your most comfortable sleep position as you snuggle into your bed.
Move your body until you feel really comfortable.
Pull the covers around you and enjoy their comfort and warmth as your body nestles a little more.
Now take a breath as deep as you like as you prepare for our journey.
Close your eyes and breathe in.
Hold that breath for a moment and now gently allow the breath to flow out.
Again,
Breathe in,
Hold that breath and release it as you feel your body starting to relax.
This is your time to sleep,
Your time to relax,
Your time to leave the day behind.
Now as you breathe,
Allow the breaths to be a little longer than normal.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Now breathe in your own rhythm as you allow yourself to relax even more.
Allow your forehead to relax as you focus your breath there.
Allow your eyes to relax as you focus your breath there.
Allow your cheeks to relax as you focus your breath there.
Allow your jaw to relax as you focus your breath there.
Allow your head to relax into your pillow.
Enjoy the comfort it brings as you feel yourself relax in more and more.
Allow your whole body to relax in your bed as peace and stillness begin to take over,
Allowing you to relax more and more.
As your body relaxes,
Your mind begins to wander on its own journey of relaxation as it wanders to a beach,
A beautiful golden beach which stretches for miles.
All you can see is golden sand sparkling in the moonlight.
Although it's night time,
You can see so much as the full moon shines its light.
You look around and everywhere looks so magical.
The sand glistens and the gentle waves of the ocean shimmer.
You are so peaceful as you walk slowly along the beach.
You feel the warm sand between your toes as it gently caresses your feet.
You hear the soft song of the ocean as its waves lick the sand while rolling backwards and forwards.
You breathe in the fresh air,
It's so good to be alive.
You feel a breeze embrace your body,
It feels comforting as if someone is walking along the beach with you.
You continue walking and you suddenly realise who this person is as this person begins walking with you.
You feel the warmth and comfort from them,
Their presence is just what you need right now.
You walk together,
The conversation flows,
Questions are answered and guidance is given.
You continue walking a short way,
Now there is silence between you but your minds are united,
The connection between you is sincere.
You feel good,
You have learnt some things you needed to know.
It's time for the person to leave you but they tell you that they are always around for you.
You continue your walk along the water's edge,
Thoughts about your visitor creates a gentle smile on your face.
Your heart feels warm,
Your mind is calm.
A little way ahead you see a shape in the water,
You can't quite make out what it is.
You walk up to it and notice it is a box which has been washed ashore by the waves.
You open the box,
Inside is a gift from the person you walked with earlier.
The gift has special meaning to you,
You hold it close and send out thanks.
You feel grateful for life,
You feel grateful for the people in your life,
You feel grateful for the way the universe guides you.
You look around one last time at the magical sight before you,
The golden sand stretching for miles and the moon shining down upon the ocean.
You take a final breath of this beautiful air as sleep begins to envelop you.
You feel sleepy and ready to relax,
Ready to let go of all thoughts.
You feel the comfort of your bed and the warmth of your covers around you.
Your walk along the beach was just what you needed before surrendering to the water.
You feel more and more relaxed and ready for sleep.
You feel tranquil,
You feel calm,
You feel relaxed,
You feel sleepy.
Your mind begins to close down and allow sleep to take over.
You feel so peaceful,
You feel so sleepy.
You are more relaxed than you have ever been and sleep is so close.
Your journey to the beach has been calming,
So enjoyable,
So relaxing.
Darkness covers you and peacefulness fills your heart as you feel so relaxed.
You are ready and you fall into a deep,
Deep sleep.
