Let's get comfortable by sitting or lying down and allowing the chair,
Sofa,
Bed or floor beneath us to fully take our weight,
To support,
To hold and to mould to us,
To relax our bodies and release any tension that doesn't belong to us.
Allow your jaw to unclench,
Your arms drop by your sides.
Let's relax our neck and then turn the full length of our spine.
Let's make our hips loose and breathe fully into our diaphragm,
Allowing this gorgeous oxygen to flood our bodies with a sense of calm.
Let's breathe in again and give ourselves the permission to fully relax,
Releasing all tension in our exhale.
It's okay to surrender tension,
To let go of control,
To give your mind and body the chance to rest and recuperate.
Feel this sense of calm soothe you from the crown of your head all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Imagine that you are making your way down a wooden path to the beach.
The sound of your sandals gently hitting the wood and the waves far off in the distance is a cue for you to relax.
The sunlight is twinkling through the leaves and the trees above you.
As you get closer and closer to the beach you can smell the salty warm sand and sea mist.
You're carrying nothing but the clothes on your body.
All baggage,
Physically and emotionally has been left behind.
This is a place where worries and responsibilities do not exist.
The only thing that thrives here is your peace of mind.
You get to the end of the wooden walkway and dip your toes into the warm sand.
Let the feeling run straight from the soles of your feet right to the top of your head and back down again.
You look around,
The beach is wide and long and you are the only one there.
You are safe and at peace knowing that this is your own little personal and private sanctuary.
You begin to walk along the beach and close to the edge of the waves coming from the sea.
The waves lapping on the shore gently meet you back and forth.
They come continuously lapping to their own relaxing rhythm.
The sun is high in the sky,
It feels warm but not too hot.
There's a gentle cooling breeze coming in that skims your skin.
You feel calm and comforted,
Almost like this place was made just for you.
You take a deep breath in and smell the salty sea air.
It's like an elixir for your soul,
Almost as if you finally feel at home.
You make your way down the beach,
Taking your time to take in the view of the sea and the pebbles and shells emerging from the sand like little jewels.
You notice a large palm tree up ahead with a big white fluffy towel at the foot of it.
You make your way over.
Once there you sit down and gently wrap yourself in the towel.
It's soft against your skin and wraps around you so lovingly.
You're shaded from the sunlight but it continues to twinkle through the leaves above your head.
You close your eyes and listen to the waves.
You take a deep breath in through your nose and devour the smell of the sea.
You feel calm and cozy,
Unlike this was meant to be.
You lay or sit here for a while,
Taking it all in,
Knowing that there's no time limit to this feeling of bliss.
No one needs you right now except yourself.
Enjoy the night.
You feel the sun beneath you,
Fully supporting you.
You tenderly open your eyes and see the sea is still there,
Lapping back and forth,
Back and forth.
You look up to the sky and see a bird overhead,
Allowing the gentle breeze to guide it away.
You sit up and unwrap yourself from the soft towel and slowly make your way back up on your feet.
You stroll back down the beach,
Making a new trail of footprints,
Letting the sun fully take all of your weight and leaving your mark of relaxation behind you.
You see the little wooden walkway coming up and stop just before it.
You take one last look at the beach and the sea,
Taking in a deep inhale and nice long exhale,
Always knowing that this place is here whenever you may need it.
Whenever you're ready to return from your meditation,
You can do so slowly.
Let's take three deep breaths to bring us back to ourselves.
Inhale and exhale.
With every breath,
Let's begin to listen to the sounds outside the room.
Maybe twinkle our toes,
But gently rub our hands together.
Always remembering that we can take this feeling of calm with us out into our day,
Because it was solely created by you and therefore it's yours to keep.
I invite you to softly open your eyes.
Feel free to slowly stretch your muscles and gently bring yourself back to your day.
Breathe easy dear one.
Why is everything possible when the forms and grandes relief is God.
