Hello.
Good morning,
Good afternoon,
Good evening.
Hello everybody.
So,
Let's launch straight in because it's a Friday.
So,
Just noticing what a good night's sleep or hopefully a good night's sleep has left you with,
Or the day or the evening.
What's here now?
Just turn in towards your experience.
What's here now?
Everything is included.
That feeling of sadness.
That heavy feeling.
The feeling of being relaxed and at ease.
That sneaky little fear that we have.
Maybe just in the background like the wallpaper.
Just feel everything.
Just welcoming everything.
Just feel what you find.
It's all you need to do.
Moments when you're free from thinking,
Just in experience.
You may notice a relief,
An ease.
Don't fight with thought.
Don't worry about getting caught up.
It's already happened.
Let them melt away,
Thinking.
Then back to your experience.
Never worry about what happens if it's Friday.
So,
If there are any questions,
Go and mute yourself or send over via chat.
If there's anything at all,
Ask.
Get them out.
Find your voice.
Get the energy going.
It's all about energy.
Of course,
You may not have any and that's fine.
A while ago,
I was doing some gardening.
I moved some debris and I saw this little mouse scurrying around.
Scurrying this way,
Scurrying that way,
Trying to find safety.
Rightly so,
Physically,
We need to feel safe.
Hopefully,
You found some because I disturbed it.
It reminds me of the mind.
The mind is always looking for certainty and safety.
Because there isn't any,
Ultimately,
I mean,
There's a certain amount of physical safety we need.
I'm not talking about that.
But there isn't any.
And we know that,
Deeper down.
Because there isn't any certainty,
But we're desperately trying to find it,
It makes for a very rough ride,
To say the least.
A very anxious ride.
No experience you will have will bring certainty or safety.
That's why we don't look for experiences.
It's the wrong way.
It's not good practice.
It can be quite seductive.
Let me look for an experience of certainty or something.
Let me just have an experience so I can feel safe or secure or whatever.
But it doesn't last.
And security and safety and all that stuff,
It doesn't exist in the mind.
It's just an idea.
So we go chasing an idea.
That's why we don't follow the mind here.
Not just here.
Lots of places.
I'm not the only one sharing this.
This is just the way it comes through me.
I was introduced to this approach by lots of,
I thought,
Good teachers.
But it's not necessarily a popular approach.
Because it doesn't offer,
Oh,
Do this for a few months and you'll feel wonderful.
You won't.
As long as you're trying to find feeling wonderful in the mind,
It won't work.
Trying to get all your thought ducks in a row.
Trying to change your mind.
Trying to think positively.
You come to the wrong place.
We rest in what we already are.
Right here,
Right now.
And we watch the show that's being presented.
And we stop following it.
And what do we find?
Ah.
There's something that's already here.
That's free from all that.
All the noise.
All the problems.
It's already here.
It's your true nature.
Your deeper nature.
Which is not an experience that comes and goes.
But we are trained,
Educated,
Conditioned to look away from it.
Out into the world.
Out,
So to speak,
Into the world of thought.
Being hypnotized by thought.
Think about my life.
Whilst we're meditating,
Or contemplating,
Whatever we want to call it,
We stop explaining our life to ourselves.
Just give it up.
It's a relief.
Right now there's a sense of presence.
Feel into that.
That's all you need to do.
The body.
Or body sensations,
More like.
I realize this.
It's such a relief.
I've been trying to work it out.
Solve it.
Read,
Read,
Read more.
I'm not saying don't read.
If you read a good book on this,
It can help.
But all the thinking,
All the studying,
I was still an anxious wreck.
Until I saw the cause of anxiety.
Belief thoughts.
It's so obvious.
Okay.
That's our last one of the week.
I hope you have a good weekend.
See you Monday,
Guys.
Bye.
