Good morning and welcome.
So before we begin,
My suggestion is,
Can you see any nature where you are?
Is there a window or some flowers or a pet?
I'm going to take a moment before we begin just to soak in some nature support.
And then perhaps moving the body just a little bit.
Good morning.
And taking your gaze over one shoulder,
Looking to your side,
And then taking your gaze over the other shoulder.
And then do some slow,
Gentle circles with your shoulders.
And maybe you want to move your arms.
Maybe you have the room,
If you have the room.
And then just feel into your spine.
If there's a wriggle or one of those nice barrel rolls.
It's a chest.
So we're starting our practice with some movement so that our body is here,
Part of the practice.
And then when you're ready,
Starting to settle into some stillness.
You might notice the ground,
Maybe your feet are on the ground.
You just push,
Push the heels in,
Push the balls of the feet in.
Or maybe it's your sitting bones,
Your pelvis,
And just gently encourage the weight of the pelvis to meet the ground.
And then bringing your awareness to your face.
It can be surprising how much tension we hold in our jaws,
Our tongue,
Our lips,
Our cheeks.
So just have a little moment to scrumple up your face or open your jaw wide or whatever's needed for you to let go of any surplus tension that you might be holding onto quite by accident.
And then the same with the hands,
Palms and the fingers,
Just give them a little wriggle.
So they've got a bit of room to soften into a place of openness.
And the same with the soles of the feet.
Wiggling your toes,
Allowing the soles of your feet to open.
And then we're dropping into our share silence today.
Our intention to remember our inherent connection with loving-kindness.
That's already here.
You don't have to go out and get it.
It's right here.
So maybe your awareness drops into your heart like a pilot light.
Flicks on deep in the centre of your chest.
Enjoy your practice.
Allowing your breath to deepen.
And feeling the holding of ground beneath you.
Feel into any movement that might be welcomed.
And then turning your gaze towards the nature support that we began our practice with.
So maybe looking out of the window and seeing the light or whatever it is that you can see reminds you of your place here with nature.
Perhaps bringing your hands to your heart as you touch into that loving-kindness in this moment and throughout the day.
We offer the fruits of our practice to ourselves,
To one another and to all beings.
Namaste.
