Hello,
My name is Jen,
And today I will be guiding you through a practice of remembrance.
Deep remembrance for the yearning that we make our way into this world with.
A deep yearning that we sometimes and often learn how to mask,
How to protect.
The deep yearning for nurturing,
For softness,
And for tenderness.
So let this practice be one where you allow yourself to feel the attachment,
The safety,
The support of remembrance,
Of the settling within your body,
Of the feelings of being nurtured and supported.
So perhaps you'd like to pause this for a moment to allow yourself to set up for this practice.
Perhaps you'd like to put supports around you,
Beneath you,
Perhaps it feels comfortable and supportive for you to lie or rest on your back,
Maybe propping up your knees,
Your arms laying beside your body,
Palms up,
Or perhaps palms down.
Maybe even it feels supportive to have your hands on your body.
Maybe you'd like to be in a seated form or lying on your side,
Allowing yourself to take the time to settle in for this practice.
And as you settle in here and now,
As you settle in here and now,
Taking the time to transition.
Oftentimes we expect our bodies,
Our beings,
Our energy to lie and instantly drift into deep soul awareness.
And sometimes when we do this,
We miss the steps,
The transitioning,
The offloading of energy and movement that is needing to be discharged from our bodies.
So bringing in a deep sense of awareness into your whole body.
Just really noticing if there are any areas that need to wiggle or adjust,
Perhaps even soften.
Understanding that just like in nature,
When animals shake themselves,
Their nervous systems are offloading held energy.
Allow yourself now without overthinking to just really feel that deep sense of nature and nurture by allowing yourself to wiggle and shake and adjust.
Allowing yourself to perhaps even soften deeper if you feel you are at ease in this moment.
Even if you do not adjust your physical body,
Just imagine the muscles softening,
The bones melting,
Your fascia and your connective tissue finding ease,
Finding softness.
Now just begin to notice without judging,
Without altering,
And without the innate urge we have as humans to connect each emotion to a story.
Allowing yourself to notice the emotional body,
The energetic body in this moment,
Free of narratives,
Free of stories.
Feel and observe the energy body and the emotional body as it is.
Whether it is feeling heavy or maybe it's feeling light.
And in this noticing we have the opportunity to move,
To shift,
To alter,
To cleanse,
To clear.
Saying and nurturing this deep part of ourselves,
I see you and I am going to allow you to feel nurtured.
I'm going to support you and hold you.
And now without adjusting and without altering,
Notice your breath.
In its natural form.
Noticing whether your breath feels shallow,
Perhaps it's short,
Heavy,
Maybe restrictive.
Maybe your breath is feeling spacious and full,
And again without wanting it to be different,
Without yearning for change,
Expectations.
Just letting your breath be whatever it is,
However it is arising in your body.
As we observe the rise and the fall.
And as you begin to notice the rise and the fall softly and gently,
Tenderly,
Begin to really bring in more full breath.
Intentional breath.
Moving your breath.
Lengthening your breath.
Each and every inhale and each and every exhale.
The rise and the fall in the fullness of intentional movement of breath now through your body.
And as we make our way into intentional breath.
We have the opportunity to bring in the supportive physiological shifts that our nervous systems are yearning for.
The restoration,
The respite,
The recovery and the healing of the cells of our body,
The slowing of our heart.
The steadiness,
The settling with the movement of our intentional breath.
Soft and tender,
Supportive.
And let us shift into this practice of remembrance,
A practice of remembrance,
Of settling in the unfolding.
Of holding,
Of nurturing.
The caress.
Allowing yourself to feel deeply.
Settled.
The layers peeled back and the sensation in remembrance of your essence.
The reintegration of heart awareness making its way gently through the cells of your being.
A soft stream of nurturing flowing through your entire body.
The scattered pieces of yourself delicately journeying back.
Bringing with them the full body sensation of comfort and ease.
All while carrying with it remembrance of your true essence.
The deepest knowing of who you are when you place it all down just for a moment.
Allow awareness of this settling energy as it begins to arrive making its way through your entire body tenderly with softness.
Full awareness in the held state of nurtured remembrance.
While you are settled in this seat of awareness.
Begin to notice your peaceful breath within you settle.
And feel into your heart center.
The energy center of your being.
Bathe in this moment of heart centered wholeness.
As you are unbound and unwound from all that is holding you hostage within yourself.
This center of your being.
The heart settled and soft.
Safe and warm.
If you feel drawn to set an intention as you allow your heart centered awareness to bring one forward.
An intention is a resolve.
A vow to yourself.
A truth.
A support.
Beyond overthinking.
Past mindful playbooks and expectations.
Lean into the sensation.
The trust that carries you and holds you at your core.
Your essence.
When and if one has been brought forward.
Repeat it three times within your mind.
Feeling the power of its presence within every cell of your body.
The expansiveness of its becoming limitless.
Settle into the uncovering of your intention.
Wholehearted connection.
Tenderly calling you back home to your center.
Who you are when all the noise falls away.
Just for now notice the whole body peace.
Settling.
Tender and soft.
Bring awareness now into your whole settled body.
The bones.
The organs.
The muscles.
The fascia.
All the way deep to your cells.
And the energy moving within and all around you.
In the comfort of this wholehearted settling.
Whole body peace.
Bring awareness into the sensation of this deep nurturing.
Soft.
Tender.
Now let my voice guide you as we move through your body delivering the sensation of deep nurturing throughout.
Nurtured softness and safe holding.
As I name each area may you feel the remembrance within your being of settled softness.
Use my voice as a guide.
And stay awake and aware.

From your head to your toe.

Tenderly with softness.
Now feel both sides together.

Your whole body.
From the soles of your feet to the crown of your head.
Settled softly.
Your entire body unbound.
Unwound in full body settling.
Remembrance of your essence in this soft holding.
Nurturing every piece of you.
Gently shift your awareness to the tender soft movement of your breath.
The expanding inhale.
The contracting exhales.
Your belly.
Your chest.
Your shoulders rising as you inhale.
Contracting as you exhale.
Without altering.
Without forcing.
Notice the remembrance of the full body sensation your breath carries.
The comfort of its movement.
The remembrance of its ability to nurture.
The restorative medicine settles as it journeys through your body with tenderness.
Nurturing as it moves.
The full expansive inhales.
The settling grounding exhale.
Remembrance of your essence in this soft holding.
Nurturing your entire being.
Feel its presence.
Bringing your attention to the center of your heart.
With full awareness of the safety in this space.
The nurtured settling in the heart center.
We will use this as a home base as we play with pairs of opposites.
Bringing yourself back at any moment to the sensation of safety in the center of your heart.
Each sensation or emotion named.
Awaken as fully as you can in the present moment.
While remaining relaxed.
And at ease within the soft nurturing that fills your body.
Awaken the sensation of heaviness.
What does the feeling of heaviness feel like?
When you feel pulled.
The pressure of all your responsibilities.
If a story arises a narrative beginning to create itself.
Simply let that story go.
Creating space from the stories.
Let heaviness be felt while remaining soft and tender.
Now let that feeling go.
Bringing your awareness now back to the nurtured settling in your heart center.
Now awaken the sensation of light.
What does the feeling of light feel like?
When the weight of your worries falls to the wayside.
Space from all the responsibilities dissipate.
Awaken the sensation of light.
What does the feeling of light feel like?
When the weight of your worries falls to the wayside.
Space from all the responsibilities dissipate.
Awaken the sensation of light.
What does the feeling of light feel like?
When the weight of your worries falls to the wayside.
Space from all the responsibilities dissipate.
Now let that feeling go.
Bringing your awareness back to the safety of your heart center.
Staying connected and aware of the full body bathed in deep remembrance of settled softness.
Tenderly holding your whole body.
Your whole body in safe holding.
Settling in this softness.
Gently allow yourself to journey into the sensation of deep nurturing.
Imagine you are back at a tender young age.
Or perhaps that ages now.
When you yearned for deep compassionate nurturing.
Without expectations.
Without pressure.
Let the sensation of the feeling be held.
Yearning to be nurtured.
Now imagine your body resting within a space that feels deeply safe and wise.
Surrounded by love and held in pure compassionate awareness.
Feel this deeply within yourself.
The sensation caressing you.
Like a gentle touch gliding softly along the side of your head.
A deep remembrance of nurturing awakening.
Feel the sensations within you.
Flowing through your whole being.
As you settle,
You feel your chest softening.
Your shoulders melting.
Your body soft and tender.
Remembrance.
You are completely held in this deep moment of nurturing.
Allowing now the sensation of this safe nurturing to be felt throughout every cell of your body.
Connected and aware of your body bathed in settled softness.
Tenderly holding your whole body.
Your whole body in safe holding.
The remembrance of the soft and tender nature of your essence.
Your core.
Your center.
Settle in this deep remembrance.
Vibrating now through your whole being.
Stay.
Remember.
From this settled soft holding.
Allow your intention to rise to your awareness.
Bringing it back with tender grace.
Allow yourself to feel the liveliness of your intention coming forth as you enter your being.
Fully supported,
Held,
And nurtured in this moment.
Feeling the presence of its awareness traveling through your entire body.
Feeling it settle into you.
Soft and tender.
Landing in the heart center.
Your beacon.
Your light.
Let yourself hold here for a moment.
Whole hearted.
Full bodied.
Nurturing.
And as you settle here in this moment.
Soft and tender.
Noticing the cells of your body.
Begin to gently and softly begin to notice and bring back awareness to your breath.
Connecting back to the rise and the fall of your chest.
The inhale and the exhale.
Feeling your breath moving through your body.
And with gentleness and softness.
Tenderly.
Feeling awareness back in your physical body.
Awareness now to the sounds in your space.
Bringing yourself back now.
And if you wish,
Feel yourself drift off.
Or allow yourself to stay settled.
And if you wish,
You may softly bring your knees towards your chest and roll to your side body if you are not already there.
Just allowing yourself to feel the body slowly make its way back into awareness,
Into movement.
Making your way up into a seated form if that feels available for you.
Noticing now the frequency moving within your body.
The settling and the holding.
Reminding yourself to find pockets throughout your day where you can use this remembrance.
Softening the eyes,
Relaxing the jaw.
Soft in the body.
And remember the deep feeling of nurturing that we can give ourselves,
That we can find.
Sending you so much love and gratitude for this practice.
May you carry on your day with peace and love.
