This meditation is for you if you know you need to rest but you feel a lot of guilt for it If you perhaps feel this deep-held feeling of it being wrong to rest,
Lazy or just not good we're going to work on changing that today and giving you space in this meditation to actually rest So just finding a comfortable position you can be sitting laying and you may have had a busy day you may have not had a busy day let's recognize straight away that you do not have to earn this rest The body tells us when we need to rest.
Allowing yourself to perhaps roll your shoulders back signaling to the body that we are softening encouraging a softer state of being allowing your breath to move gently through your body taking some slow nourishing breaths although productivity can be great.
And that we need moments of productivity in our life.
It is not the only state to be in If we overdo it then we will come out of balance Just like anything,
Foods,
Drinks,
Other things in our life that we wouldn't want to overdo productivity is something we could overdo Breathing in.
And allowing your body to recognize that this rest is allowed,
Important and actually essential.
Breathing out and feeling the natural rhythm of the breath.
Just like waves lapping at the shore the breath is always there Always resetting,
Moving,
Soothing.
There's something deeper about the body that does not need to be productive it just is,
It just is flowing I want you to notice what it's like for the next few moments in this moment for nothing to actually be expected of you.
Sometimes we can feel the pressure of lots being expected from us we can even find ourselves moaning and pushing and ranting about it and yet realising that in this moment there's nothing expected What does that bring up?
It can feel quite scary for nothing to be expected from us,
We might not trust it It might make us feel insecure.
Instantly not valuable in some way What does it bring up for you?
When nothing needs fixing,
Achieving,
Nothing needs to be done Can I still see my worth in this moment?
Breathing and continuing that natural rhythm you might have learnt to feel proud when you're busy,
Useful and to feel guilty when you're still the thing is your body doesn't actually measure your worth in that way in the nicest way possible.
Your body doesn't actually care about that.
It doesn't really care what you're doing.
It's simply there supporting you.
Constantly encouraging you to come back to balance Your body's really good at knowing when it's tired.
As is it good when it knows it needs to push forward.
When it has energy to exert This is a sacred dance that your body does.
And it's so,
So important to not block that dance,
The push and the pull,
The push and the pull.
The dance becomes quite unnatural when it just pushes,
Pushes,
Pushes,
Pushes.
As you're breathing as you're soaking this up you might even find your body moving slightly in this kind of wave you might Rock back and forward a little.
Or just enjoy the wave of your breath.
Absorbing how natural this push and pull is.
Back and forth.
Your body starts to feel more and more relieved that you are honouring it Your body starts to feel more and more relaxed and actually safer in your presence.
You remember this ancient wisdom there is an art to everything in life.
Where we do and then we hold and we pull back and then we do again Just like a chef who knows when to stir,
When to step away,
When to stir,
When to step away that chef would encourage you not to interfere constantly not to be doing constantly in your life,
Your energy is in awe.
To honour thy sacred art.
Is so important.
Resting now for a few moments without my voice guiding you just being Just feeling.
Allowing yourself to feel anything that comes up When you're ready just allowing your shoulders to roll back again signifying coming back further into the body.
When you're ready blinking your eyes open coming back to the space you're in seeing if you can just see things through a new lens now just things look a little different Does the room somehow feel a little slower,
A little more still?
These are less of a rush to get back to doing things Honouring and affirming before we finish I am allowed to rest without guilt It is a sacred dance in life to push and pull and there is no room for guilt there.
Just like that chef would feel no guilt for stepping away from the pot.
There is nothing to feel guilty about for my energy my life.
Sending you so much love and support here with releasing guilt this can be a well ingrained thing depending especially of how you've been brought up so come back to this as many times as you need to re-ingrain this pattern this new belief i'll see you again in another meditation i'm scarlet
