The greater intelligence,
Where awareness becomes compassion.
Today's gentle message for this you here now is this.
You are not your automatic thoughts.
You are the one who sees them.
The one who breathes before them.
And that witness,
The quiet awareness,
Is the greater intelligence of who you are.
Let's go to the wisdom of the waves for our final daily dose of insight and inspiration.
Sometimes,
It feels like you are your mind.
The worry,
The shame,
The stories.
But pause,
Notice,
There's a part of you that is watching this.
That part,
The part that can say,
I notice I'm having this thought,
Is the greater intelligence of who you are.
Unlike the mind,
It's not frantic.
It's steady,
Spacious,
Spiritual.
And so here is an opportunity for you,
Not only to unhook in those moments,
But to grow spiritually.
Just like you choose to not give energy to things that don't serve you in the external world,
Why is it any different in your internal world?
When you speak to yourself with compassion,
You're not just calming your nervous system,
You're aligning with that deeper truth.
I am the observer.
I am the one who can choose.
I am more than what my mind repeats.
My dear sweet soul,
Validating self-talk is not about pretending you're okay when you're not.
It's not about forcing positivity,
Glossing over your pain or trying to fix yourself with cheerful mantras.
It doesn't mean repeating affirmations you don't believe,
Nor does it involve pushing away discomfort to sound more resilient.
Validating self-talk isn't about denial,
It's about truth.
It's raw.
It's real.
It's not about saying everything's fine when it's not.
It's about saying,
This is hard,
And I have my own back.
I am here for me.
True validation doesn't ignore suffering.
It acknowledges it with kindness and presence.
It gives your inner world a voice without judgment.
It allows space for the mess,
The confusion,
The tension.
And it meets that space with compassion,
Not correction.
This is the greater intelligence of who you are.
Just like the sky holding every weather,
You are the space that holds every thought,
But is not defined by any of them.
I'm struggling right now.
This is really hard.
Here comes that wave of sadness again,
And the grief with it,
But I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.
Others know what it's like to hear these unwanted thoughts and feel this heaviness inside.
My inner critic is fierce right now.
It's having a tantrum.
As if things weren't hard enough,
It shows up to double down.
Dear inner critic,
I know this is just what you do.
You only know how to be critical,
That's your role.
You don't have awareness,
You don't know empathy,
You don't speak with compassion or kindness,
But I do.
And even when you shout your doubts at me,
I choose validating self-talk.
In the moments I do,
I'm not just calming my nervous system,
I'm aligning with something deeper,
Something truer within me,
The greater intelligence of who I am.
I am the observer,
I am the one who can choose.
I am more than my thoughts.
I am bigger than my feelings.
Validating self-talk opens the door to my expanded self,
And in this moment of practicing right now,
This choosing to do so,
I am growing.
As I choose validation over criticism,
I am empowered and I am deepening my connection with myself.
This is the greater intelligence of who I am.
With gentle talk,
I come to know,
My spirit heals,
And I will grow.
With gentle talk,
I come to know,
My spirit heals,
And I will grow.
With gentle talk,
I come to know,
My spirit heals,
And I will grow.
With gentle talk,
I come to know,
My spirit heals,
And I will grow.
