This is a short meditation course designed for setting intention in the morning. It focuses on five key personal qualities that we have the capacity for enriching. Each day follows the same structure. We start with an introduction to settle us in, a simple practice to get grounded as we melt into the moment. Then we get to explore the quality of the day. We do this by visiting the waves. Waves have a wisdom to them. And these waves that lap away whilst you practice, will speak directly to you about this particular quality. This gently leads on to some affirmations associated with the wisdom from the waves. Finally, we end with a gentle gesture in how this quality could be brought into your day. This course has been made so you can repeat it if necessary. It’s also been designed so that you may get something different from it each time you practice. Thank you for taking part in this. Meet your Teacher

Reuben Lowe founded an online organisation 'Mindful Creation', as well as the non-profit for young people called 'ACT on it'. Specialising in mindfulness-based therapies, he works at one of the largest health clinics in the Southern Hemisphere. He currently designs and standardises the acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) programs throughout Australia for Healthscope. He is passionate about empowering others to be part of the change that’s taking place in our world.

Acceptance

In our third day, we have that little preparation practice for our bodies to soften and melt. Then we’ll listen to the wisdom of the waves about acceptance. It’s not what we think. Finally, we have the affirmations of this day, ready for you to start your day.

Forgiveness

In our fourth day, we continue on this theme of mornings being so important. There is the daily, gentle guidance for our bodies to soften and melt. The wisdom of the waves return again for some insights into the quality of forgiveness. Just like yesterday, it’s not what we think. Then, we finish with the affirmations of the day, ready for you to start your day.

Compassion

In our final day, we have that all-familiar preparation practice for our bodies to soften and melt. Then we’ll listen to the wisdom of the waves for the last time, all about compassion. It can be simplified to 6 words. Finally, we have the affirmations of this day, ready for you to start your day.

More talking than I had expected. There was a moment where he’s scanning your body to relax with ocean waves, which is great. That would be a good time after to be silent and let the waves take over. But he kept talking all the way through.
