Hello and welcome to day 18!
I'm so glad that you're here.
So yesterday we talked about the past and memories of the past and how they're just stories and today we're going to talk about the future and guess what?
Imagining future events is just also a story.
We don't know what's going to happen and that's okay.
You don't need to know what's going to happen.
The only thing there is to do is what's happening right now.
They're watching me!
Sorry,
It's like a running joke now right?
If you catch yourself worrying about what's going to happen and trying to solve some imagined problem that your mind is creating as a potential,
You're wasting a lot of mental space.
So instead,
Try to stop doing that.
Instead,
Just realize I don't need to do that.
I don't have to solve problems in advance.
I don't have to imagine them and solve them and imagine them and solve them.
That's an addiction that the mind does and we can change the habit by bringing back the mind to what's happening right now is all I need to do.
And that lets go of so much mental and emotional strain and energy just by knowing I don't have to worry about that.
Future me can handle that.
The only thing I need to do is what I'm doing right now.
And releasing the need to solve created imagined future events,
Releasing the need to do that just brings about a profound sense of relief and well-being.
So today,
Throughout the day,
If you catch yourself thinking about what's going to happen and what am I going to do about it,
Try to remember this.
Bring yourself back and say I don't need to deal with that today.
I don't need to deal with that right now.
I only need to do what I'm doing right now.
All right,
Let me know how you're doing.
Okay,
Have a great day.
