Prashanti Paz is an experienced meditation guide, writer, and composer known for her soulful voice and inspiring teachings. She shares heart-opening music and her vast experience in meditation and mantras through courses, workshops, and live events on Insight Timer. More than 40 k students have joined her courses worldwide, reflecting her unique ability to reach people's hearts and inspire them through her accessible and down-to-earth teaching style. Prashanti was born in Argentine Patagonia and spent her childhood in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She returned to Argentina and attended Film School in Buenos Aires, receiving further education and specializing in Screenwriting in New York. Serendipity came when she got her first job in the movie industry in 1997 as a production assistant on the feature film 'Seven Years in Tibet.' She encountered Buddhism for the first time and felt an immediate and deep connection with its philosophy. The movie was shot in the Andes mountains serving as the Himalayas, in a remote and isolated area where she lived with the crew and cast for months. Sharing her daily life with Tibetan monks, Rinpoches, and high Scholars, Prashati absorbed their wisdom as much as possible. The seed was planted, but only in 1999, after her mother's sudden passing, she began her formal studies of the Buddhist scriptures, learning mantras and meditation techniques from outstanding Tibetan Masters, including H.H. Dalai Lama. Being part of an authentic lineage has infused her chanting and teachings with the power to be a catalyst for profound transformation and growth. While walking the spiritual path, she also had a successful career in entertainment. Prashanti created and wrote T.V. shows for FOX Latin America, DISNEY Channels & GLOBO, and screenplays for feature and documentary films. She was the Casting & Talent Director for BBDO N.Y for ten years. She worked alongside talented directors such as Oscar Winner Adrien Brody. After almost two decades of practicing Buddhism, mantras, and meditation, she left a promising career in entertainment to follow her heart's calling, devoting herself entirely to chanting. Prashanti recorded two albums: Inner Light (2017) and Into the Heart (2019), and is working on her third one. She offered concerts worldwide and worked for big corporations like Adidas (Wanderlust Festival) and Tosh (a leading Colombian healthy food brand). Her love for music, story, and Buddhism, merged when she composed music for the acclaimed Netflix Documentary 'From Stress to Happiness' (2020) featuring renowned Buddhist monk and author Matthieu Ricard. She considers herself a seeker, a wanderer spirit, always curious and willing (she's also a certified astrologer and has studied alternative healing arts like Reiki and Ayurveda). For years she has been an earnest and close student of Advaita Vedanta Spiritual Master Mooji, whose teachings profoundly impact her life. Through her work and teachings, she aims to help others regain balance cultivating a clear, focused, and calm mind. The benefits of her teachings In the workplace environment are innumerable. She offers tools designed to improve the ability to work in stressful environments, enhance productivity, prevent burnout and improve personal relationships. Her programs can be provided in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Since 2020 Prashanti has been based in The Netherlands and remains optimistic about learning Dutch!
