Welcome.
To begin,
Take a few moments to find a position that feels truly supportive,
Whether that's seated or lying down.
Let your spine be long,
But not rigid.
Let your belly have space.
Let your breath begin to settle.
This is your time to arrive,
To soften,
To listen inward.
Begin by simply feeling the ground beneath you.
Notice where your body meets the earth.
Is there a sense of being held?
And if not,
Could you allow just a little more weight to release into the support below?
If it's comfortable,
Let your eyes soften or gently close.
Allow your jaw to slacken.
Let your shoulders drop by 5%.
And then just a little more.
Take a slow breath in and a longer,
Slower breath out.
And let your nervous system hear this signal,
I'm here,
I'm safe,
I can soften.
Now bring your awareness to your belly.
You might rest one or both hands there,
Right below the navel.
And let your attention gently land like a feather.
Not to change anything,
But simply to be with what's here.
Notice the state of your belly right now.
Is there a sense of tightness?
Holding?
Numbness?
Warmth?
Does it feel like it wants to be noticed or protected?
There's no need to interpret,
Just observe.
In many traditions,
The belly is known as the center of instinct,
Intuition and emotional memory.
We often unconsciously grip here,
Bracing against life,
Trying to hold it together.
So for now,
Can you give your belly just a little space to soften?
Breathe gently into the lower abdomen.
With each inhale,
Imagine the belly gently expanding outward,
Like a soft balloon.
And with each exhale,
Feel it release.
No forcing,
Just an invitation.
Inhale,
Belly softens and fills.
Exhale,
Belly melts downward and inward.
Inhaling and softening.
Exhaling,
Melting.
You might picture a warm,
Golden light resting in your belly.
Or imagine a soft,
Warm cloth laid against it,
Offering ease,
Safety,
Kindness.
If emotions begin to stir,
Allow them.
This is a place where we've learned to store so much fear,
Shame,
Anger,
Grief.
Allow your breath to become a gentle companion to whatever shows up today.
And you might whisper inwardly,
It's okay to feel this.
I'm here now.
I'm listening.
And stay with the breath and belly for a few more moments,
Inhaling to expand,
Exhaling to soften.
And now slowly begin to shift your awareness upward to the center of your chest.
You might move a hand here,
Or place your attention on the space around the heart.
And notice what you feel.
Perhaps there's openness,
Or perhaps there's a tight grip.
Maybe the area feels flat or quiet.
There's no right or wrong,
Only sensation,
Only your experience.
Take a breath in,
Feeling the belly rise.
And as you exhale,
Feel the breath float upward,
Softening the heart.
Breathing in,
Feeling the belly rise.
And breathing out,
Feel the breath float upward,
Softening the heart.
Allow each breath to be a bridge between the belly and heart,
Between instinct and emotion,
Ground and openness.
Inhale,
Soften the belly.
Exhale,
Open the heart.
And if you like,
You might imagine a golden thread connecting these two centers,
The belly and heart.
A living current of energy,
Breath,
And awareness.
And with every breath,
That thread strengthens,
Reminding your system that it's safe to soften,
To feel,
To connect.
What would it feel like to live from this place?
A soft belly,
Trusting life?
An open heart,
Welcoming experience?
Can you allow yourself to taste that possibility?
You may begin to feel warmth in the chest or subtle vibrations throughout the body.
You may feel more present,
More tender,
Or even more emotional.
Whatever is true,
Stay with it,
Breathe into it,
And let the body be your guide.
And now gently begin to widen your awareness.
Feel the space around your body,
The room you're in.
Feel the contact points,
Hips,
Shoulders,
Back of the head.
Begin to move slowly,
Fingers,
Toes,
Jaw.
Take a deeper breath in through the nose,
And out through the mouth with a sigh.
If it feels right for you,
Place one hand on your belly,
One hand on your heart.
Feel the warmth beneath your palms.
And whisper to yourself,
Thank you,
Body.
Thank you,
Breath.
Thank you,
Heart.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes and move gently into whatever comes next,
Carrying this softness with you,
One breath at a time.
