Hello and welcome to this short meditation.
Let's take a moment to pause and reconnect with ourselves in the midst of a busy day.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or standing.
If you feel comfortable,
Gently close your eyes or just soften your gaze.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Let's do this a few times together,
Inhaling deeply,
Exhaling fully,
Inhaling deeply,
And letting it all go.
Now bring your attention to this present moment.
Notice the sensations in your body,
Feeling your feet on the ground,
Maybe the air on your skin,
Or the weight of your body being supported.
Listen to the sounds around you and simply notice them without judgment.
And during this short break,
Let's use a simple mantra to ground ourselves.
Silently repeating,
I am here,
I am now.
So as you breathe in,
Think,
I am here.
As you breathe out,
Think,
I am now.
And simply continue this for a few breaths.
I am here.
I am now.
If you notice any tension in your body,
Simply bring your awareness to that area.
Take a deep breath in,
Imagining the breath flowing into that space.
And as you exhale,
Let the tension melt away.
I invite you to take one final deep breath.
And as you exhale,
Gently open your eyes if they were closed.
Thank yourself for taking this brief moment of care.
And carry this sense of calm with you into the rest of your day.
