There is something so beautiful about the way you move through the world.
Your deep empathy,
Your consideration of others.
The way you genuinely care and give so much of yourself.
You have this ability to make people feel deeply loved and seen.
And everyone in your life is better for having been seen and loved by you.
And now,
I want you to have some space to turn that same depth of care toward yourself.
For the next few minutes,
You don't have to give anything,
Solve anything,
Or work toward anything.
You don't have to feel good or feel better.
Just give yourself permission to be exactly where you are and feel whatever is here.
Nothing needs to change.
Nothing needs to be fixed.
This time is for you.
Allow yourself to settle into whatever position feels right.
You can close your eyes,
Lower your gaze,
Or keep them open.
Let's take a couple of breaths together.
Breathing in… and out.
Again,
In.
.
.
And out.
And one last time,
Breathe in.
And on this out breath,
Come into a position that feels comforting to you.
There's no right or wrong,
Just something that feels supportive without trying to fix or resolve anything.
If this pose feels good for you,
You can stay here or you can return to a neutral position that feels most comfortable right now.
I'd love to invite you now to imagine that somewhere within you or in front of you,
There is a completely open space.
A space that belongs only to you.
And you get to create it.
There are no rules here,
No limitations,
No responsibilities,
No one else's needs.
You're using your imagination,
So literally think of anything that naturally comes to you.
Make it all up in any kind of ridiculous way.
If you want to have fun with it.
What would you put here?
You could put an oversized comfy bed.
Or an entire ocean.
You can make outer space if you'd like.
Let the space take shape however it wants to,
However your imagination wants you to.
And take your time letting it all unfold.
Nothing has to make sense here.
You just go with your flow.
And now imagine yourself there.
In this space you've just created.
Take it all in.
The light,
The sounds,
The textures,
The temperature.
Take a moment to notice what's happening inside of you.
Not what you think should be happening,
Just what is.
Any sensations,
Emotions.
Not to analyze or judge or change anything,
But simply to notice.
Whatever you're feeling right now,
You don't have to do anything with it.
Try to just let yourself be exactly where you're at.
And ask your body,
How do I want to move right now?
Not because you need to get somewhere or change anything.
Just because you have space to listen.
Let whatever movement wants to happen,
Happen.
You don't have to choose or direct it.
Perhaps you feel an inner impulse.
To wiggle your fingers.
Or yawn.
Or lay fully flat.
And you give yourself this time and space.
To let one movement organically shift into the next movement,
Knowing there is no right or wrong,
Nothing that needs to be done,
Nothing that needs to be changed or fixed.
And if your body wants to be still,
Let it be still.
I'm going to leave a minute of space to give your body room to move in its own way.
To let yourself follow your own impulses without needing to know where they're going.
There is nowhere to get to.
Nothing to accomplish.
And this movement doesn't need to mean anything.
Even if you don't end up moving for this next minute.
Whatever you are doing,
However you are moving.
Starts to gradually,
Slowly come to a stopping point.
Let yourself land.
In a position that feels good enough for you right now.
It doesn't have to be right.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
Just something that naturally feels.
Like a match in this moment.
Whether that's hugging yourself.
Putting your hands on your heart.
Or simply laying flat,
Not doing a thing.
And when you get to this pose,
Let's take one more breath together.
10 ounce.
Gently open your eyes,
Look around the space that you're in.
Make intentional physical contact with yourself.
Perhaps some light touches or squeezes on your body Playing with your own hair,
Caressing your own face.
And before you move on with the rest of your day,
Go back to that space you just created.
And take one thing that was there for you.
Something that you wanted,
Something that felt meaningful,
Something that gave you a sense of space to meet yourself.
Imagine bringing just a piece of that with you.
Finding one small way to let that thing exist in your day.
Maybe it's something you do.
Something you give yourself or make room for Maybe even something you allowed yourself to receive from someone else.
And remember.
The space is yours.
You can return to it whenever you need.
