Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and this is a 20-minute guided meditation intended to help you start your day feeling more grounded,
More calm,
And more connected to yourself and to your heart.
With today's meditation the theme we will be exploring together is the theme of receiving and the theme of temporarily stopping the giving we are constantly bringing into the world and just being.
I know many of you amazing humans and I know how generous you are giving your love,
Giving your brilliance,
Giving your kindness and compassion to all those around you.
It's a beautiful thing and I want to say with today's meditation the invitation is just to temporarily put the giving on hold and just receive,
Just be.
At the end of the meditation as always there will be a 15-minute journaling exercise for those of you that are doing the meditation live with me.
I'll put 15 minutes on the clock and you'll have an opportunity to express whatever came up for you and for those of you catching the replay I invite you to do the same,
Put 15 minutes on the clock and see what comes through you.
Let's begin the meditation now by closing your eyes.
Finding your natural breath here this morning.
Just feeling how your breath is growing through your body through the tips of your mouth,
Your lips,
Your tongue.
Feel the coolness of breath as it enters your body.
Feeling safe and supported here this morning sinking into your seat just a little bit more.
Bringing your attention to your hands as they rest perhaps on your thighs doing nothing with them.
Needing nothing of them.
Just allowing them to be however they want to be this morning.
Feeling the micro sensations inside your hands.
Feeling perhaps the coolness of the air on your inside of your palms.
Just giving your body permission to be this incredible,
Powerful,
Generous vessel that you have for your life here on earth.
Feeling,
Feeling your body,
Noticing your chest move up and down as you breathe.
Doing nothing here,
Just being.
Feeling what it's like for you to sit quietly,
Not giving anything to the world.
Not needing to fix anything.
Not needing to rescue anyone.
Not needing to create anything.
Feeling the power source,
The light source that is your heart.
Imagining it just radiating light.
This light is not doing anything.
It's just being.
And I want you to imagine as you inhale this light,
It becomes brighter.
Beautiful golden light.
It's radiance is stunning.
So beautiful that you can't notice anything else,
But the light that is shining through your heart.
This beautiful golden light has a feeling in your body.
I invite you now to access that feeling this light has in your body.
There's no right or wrong answer.
Just observe and feel what it's like in your body in this moment.
And if you like,
Try the mantra.
Feeling.
Feeling.
Feeling.
There's nothing to fix here.
There's no one to rescue.
You are perfect.
Exactly how you are.
Feeling.
Feeling.
Feeling.
Taking a nice deep breath.
Seeing if you can access a little bit more joy,
A little bit more calm,
A little bit more peace here.
I see you,
Dear artist.
I see how much you are giving.
How much you show up for everyone else.
It's beautiful.
And I want to invite you.
To temporarily take a load off.
Just for this last song now.
Step into.
A deeper level.
Of acceptance for yourself.
Of love.
For yourself.
And for.
Just one last moment here.
I invite you.
To bask.
In the miracle that is you just as you are.
No need to create anything.
To help anyone.
To be anything for anyone else.
It's just you here now.
I'll stay quiet.
And let you explore.
I'll stay quiet.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
Wherever you went,
Whatever you felt,
However deep you connected or did not connect with your human.
I honor and respect you for carving a little bit of time out for yourself this morning.
For you.
Your heart.
Your human.
With this next phase of the artist morning,
I'll put 15 minutes on the clock.
And invite you to express whatever came up this morning with the meditation.
Using your pen and your paper as your canvas.
For those of you that are joining us on the replay.
I also invite you to do the same.
Put 15 minutes on the clock.
And have some fun.
Thank you for meditating with me this morning.
My name's Darius.
And we'll see you next time.
