Hi and welcome to this guided meditation.
So this is all about releasing the past.
Now we all have attachments to the past and quite often we have these things that we're holding on to that we haven't quite yet released,
You know,
Maybe a person or a situation or just something that's happened to you that's really affecting how you live your life.
So in this meditation we're going to gently release it so that you're going to feel lighter and brighter and just more ready to get on with your life without that personal situation.
So I want you to begin by sitting or lying down in a comfortable position.
So it doesn't matter what you choose,
I recommend even lying down on your bed.
Just spend a moment adjusting yourself until you get super comfy.
Allow your body to soften and become still.
Close your eyes and take your attention to your breath.
Just observe it.
Notice your natural breath signature.
Notice how your breath and your inhale touches the tip of your nose as you breathe in.
Now your belly falls as you exhale.
Gently begin to slow down your breathing,
Taking deeper,
Longer,
Smoother breaths.
And as you do so you feel your body becoming more relaxed.
Now take your awareness to your mind.
Just gently release any attachments you have to the past and to the future.
So becoming aware of the present moment of the here and the now.
And if anything does pop up throughout this meditation you can just gently come back to your breath.
Use it as an anchor to stay present.
And then shifting your awareness from your mind to your body.
And just allow yourself to listen to these words.
As you notice your body grounding down to the earth,
The muscles,
The bones,
The ligaments,
The muscles,
Everything is becoming so soft and gentle and relaxed.
I want you to set an intention and that is to give yourself permission to fully release the past,
To let it go.
And to allow yourself to really feel anything that comes up.
Know that it's okay.
You're in a safe space.
It's going to help you to move through this process.
There's not much more of a perfect time than right now to let go of the past.
When you really let go you're going to experience this feeling of release and freedom that is going to be incredibly powerful.
So just go with what comes up.
Breathe and let go.
Now on the next inhale I want you to breathe in for the count of five.
So inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five and exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Continue to breathe deeply.
I want you to shift your awareness to the person or the situation or the event that you're ready to release.
You don't have to go into detail.
Notice the shift in your body.
So you're probably holding this person or whatever it is you're trying to release in your body somewhere.
There's going to be a blockage.
There's going to be an energy,
A sort of stuck feeling inside of your body.
I want you to locate that now.
If you're unsure of where this is then just use your intuition to locate that space.
Quite often we hold it in the heart or it can be in the gut or anywhere in the body.
Whatever you feel like this place is,
Just take your attention there.
Does it have a shape?
Is it small or large?
If it had a colour,
What colour would it be?
Some people might even sense a noise,
A movement,
A blockage.
Just breathe and go with it.
Now I want you to ask yourself,
What did this person or event teach me?
What did I learn?
How have I grown or changed as a person from what happened?
This can be tough so I'm going to give you a bit of time to really think because almost everything that happens to us in our life happens for a reason.
And it can be incredibly hard to see that reason at the time or even afterwards.
But I want you to dig deep.
You're doing so well.
Now it's time to let go.
So I want you to imagine that you're being surrounded by the most brilliant,
White,
Shimmering light.
With every inhale and exhale this light goes brighter and brighter and stronger.
And you know this light has the ability to cleanse and clear and heal everything that it comes into contact with.
Now on your next inhale,
You draw some of this energy in from around you,
Deep into your body.
And the first place that it heads is the place that you identified your blockage.
And in your mind's eye you see this energy begin to dissolve,
To break up,
To release this blockage.
And as you inhale again more light enters your body,
Totally washing away this area that you've identified.
And on your next inhale you fill up your entire body with this shimmering,
Beautiful light.
As you feel it wash over you,
Heal you.
Sometimes this brings up emotion.
And just know that that's totally fine.
It's normal in fact and just go with it.
Allow it to release.
Breathe.
We're going to take one more inhale here.
Breathing in this beautiful light.
As you feel it rise up through your body,
Over the crown of your head as it washes over you like a waterfall,
A waterfall of energy.
And it takes with it any last residue.
It washes it away into the ground to be recycled.
And you feel your body buzzing with energy,
With light,
With clarity.
I'm going to leave you for one minute to allow the echoes of this meditation to settle.
Stay with your breath.
I'll let you know when it's time to come out.

And then gently you bring your awareness back to your body.
Notice the difference in how you feel.
As you bring a smile to your face.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe you even want to stretch your hands above your head and allow the body to begin to wake up.
Take your time here as long as you need.
And if you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open.
