My precious sister-in-law died this past week from mouth cancer. For two years she was so brave. Shortly after the diagnosis, I wanted to introduce her to Insight Timer, hoping it could be of benefit and comfort and support her. Sometimes people just ignore what I send and never listen. But Barb did the opposite. A couple days later she texted me a thank you and that she bought a subscription. Wow. I was so glad. But tonight I am feeling sad. She and I were “friends” within the Insight Timer app. Tonight, heavy in my chest, with grief, I went to her spot in the app and saw the choices she had listened to. This was at the top, being the most recent one she was listening to- around the time her doctors said there was nothing more they could do... So much like her! She loved the beach and loved music. As I am listening, the tears are flowing, my heavy chest holding grief, is now moving, not stuck. Like a levy that is overwhelmed and the flood waters breech and whoosh! All holding back just gave way with this song and I wanted to thank you. Thank you for the gift of this song you gave my sister-in-law. And thank you for the gift it is now giving me. Rest in PEACE Barb. And thank you Insight Timer. For every story you hear from a listener, millions more go unsaid, but you are making a positive difference in so many lives!
