Held is a 7-day self-paced somatic journey designed to help you restore ease and reconnection between body and mind. Each day blends reflection, guided meditation and simple nervous system practices to support grounding, release tension and increase embodied awareness. Through this process you will explore how sensations, memories and emotions are held within the body, learning to listen and respond with care. You will be guided to meet yourself with honesty, compassion and curiosity, gently unwinding stress patterns and cultivating presence. Whether you are moving through overwhelm, transition or simply longing to feel at home in yourself, Held offers a space to land, breathe and return to stillness.


Meet your Teacher

Niamh O’Shea is an integrative practitioner with a background in psychology, somatic practice, and holistic healing. Her work draws from transpersonal psychology, nervous system regulation, and creative process to support gentle reconnection between body and mind. As a trained somatic practitioner with extensive study in mind-body healing, coaching, and trauma-informed care, she brings over two decades of experience in both creative and therapeutic fields. Niamh’s approach blends reflection, embodiment, and creativity to help others cultivate presence, clarity, and self-trust.

Lesson 1

Understanding The Body’s Survival Responses

This lesson explores how the body responds to stress and overwhelm through the four core survival states of freeze, fight, flight and fawn. You will learn how these reactions form, why they appear without conscious choice and how they relate to trauma, safety and nervous system health. This session offers a gentle, trauma-informed understanding of your patterns, helping you recognise your responses with clarity rather than self-judgement.

Listening To Your Inner Signals

This lesson introduces interoception, the ability to sense your internal world through breath, sensation, and subtle nervous system cues. You will learn how the body communicates long before the mind forms thoughts, and how to recognise small shifts that show your true state. This session supports deeper self-awareness and a more compassionate relationship with your body.

Lesson 3

Titration And Building Capacity

This lesson explores titration and capacity, two core principles in somatic healing. You will learn why small, manageable doses of sensation support the nervous system more effectively than intensity, and how working at the edge of your limits helps your body integrate change safely. This session introduces titration, capacity and pendulation in a gentle and trauma-informed way, helping you understand how to meet your inner experience without overwhelm.

Finding Safety In The Body

This lesson explores how the body recognises safety through small physical cues such as softening, grounding and the gentle settling of the breath. You will learn how safety is experienced in the nervous system, why grounding supports regulation, and how to work with the signals that help your body return to steadiness. This session offers a calm and trauma-informed approach to building a sense of inner safety.

Lesson 5

Meeting Emotion In The Body

This lesson explores how emotion first appears as sensation in the body and how to meet those sensations without overwhelm. You will learn how to recognise the physical shapes of emotion, why the nervous system can shut down or intensify during strong feelings, and how titration supports safe emotional processing. This session offers a gentle, body-based way to understand and move through emotion with more ease.

Self Regulation And Co Regulation

This lesson explores how the nervous system settles through both self regulation and co regulation. You will learn how the body responds to supportive presence, why connection creates a sense of safety, and how to use grounding, breath and gentle awareness to steady yourself. This session offers a calming and trauma-informed understanding of how we soothe and are soothed.

Integration And Returning To Yourself

This final lesson explores integration, the gentle process of allowing your body to absorb what you have learned over the past days. You will reflect on the shifts in your breath, your awareness and your sense of safety, and understand how healing continues long after the course ends. This session offers a soft closing, a moment of gratitude, and an invitation to keep moving at your own pace with the practices that support you.

This was the most moving, beautiful, and incredibly healing experience for me. I don't have the words to express how impactful and meaningful these practices have been for me in my healing journey from unresolved childhood trauma that I now realize I have held in my body for my entire life. The soothing music with beautiful humming is extraordinary in itself, and I would love to have this as a standalone if you'd be willing to share. This 7 Day course was a 2 Day course. It felt like coming home to self in my sanctuary. Life is for living. Love Independence Freedom of emotions Eternity balance in life, when a superior source like God, Universe, or Divine source or what ever your faith is. When they say this is your last breath or ad I would say is “when my husband Dan his last breath to me was his last kiss, saying when your ready our souls will meet again.

Wow. Loss of words. What a practice you have gifted US. Thank You. Plan on revisiting each practice. With the hope, one day, all the tools shared here, so tenderly, with warmth and such a calming voice that it was hard NOT to feel safe held and cared for …. May be integrated. And healing ❤️‍🩹takes hold down to the cellular level. Thank You, for teaching me a new way to embrace my body and the miracles it poses. Have been at a place of hopelessness for more time that I’d like to admit. Large part due to unresolved trauma stored throughout my body. I don’t believe there was any co-regulating after the death of my mother, she was 33 I was seven. 40 years later, never truly being seen held supported within the edges of this shell of skin. It’s time, to provide myself with all that was lost, has been taken from, never taught nor embraced. It’s scary. It what do I have to lose at this point?! if anything I will be gifting, my daughter, the tools and self knowledge that will take her far beyond where I could have ever imagined (for myself). Thank you for easing my pain. For giving me back my power. Great reminder that we are all capable of such “miracles.” As is our teacher, here onninsight timer.
