During this practice, you will be guided to visualise people that you love, appreciate, and feel grateful for. You will then be invited to expand your feelings of unconditional love and appreciation in order to transform how you feel and step into unconditional love.

Closing your eyes,

Sitting or lying comfortably,

Breathing deeply,

Allowing your breath to be deep,

Slow and deliberate.

You'll probably notice that as you bring your attention inward that your mind starts to chatter away and try to distract you from this moment.

If you find yourself becoming engaged with your thoughts,

Just gently disentangle yourself and bring yourself back to this moment.

Remembering that your thoughts can just come and go without you needing to worry about them.

Allowing your body to fully relax into the surface underneath you now.

Getting back to your breath,

Letting your breathing become natural and effortless once again.

Now calling in the images of all the people in your life whom you feel a deep love for.

You can include your beloved pets,

And you may also include people who are no longer alive or people whom you admire but don't know personally.

Seeing their image just as you remember them or as you know them to be.

Visualizing that all of these people are standing before you in a line.

Starting at one end,

Connecting with one person at a time.

Looking into their eyes and feeling the love and appreciation grow within you.

Thinking about what this person has given you,

What they've shared with you,

Or how they have changed your life.

And feeling an explosion of positive feelings,

Gratitude,

Joy,

Appreciation and love.

Enjoy this feeling and keep it going as you move to the next person down the line and then the next.

As you experience this feeling of love,

Remembering that even though you are giving it away,

To someone else,

That you also get to feel love in the process.

You are not being depleted.

You are being energized by this expression of love.

Take pleasure in it.

Enjoy this feeling.

Even if you have issues or tension with some of these people,

Don't withhold your love.

As you send them unconditional love,

You allow yourself to experience the feeling of unconditional love.

Love cannot be restricted.

Allowing yourself to relish in this feeling as it grows within you.

Notice where you experience this feeling within your body.

Does it feel like a light beam emitting from your heart?

Or does it feel like a tingling excitement in each and every one of your cells?

Paying attention to this feeling as it continues to grow within you.

Feeling this unconditional love fully and completely.

You might find that your natural instinct is to get distracted by the thoughts in your mind,

And to pull yourself away from this feeling,

Rather than staying with it.

But I invite you to keep it going.

To allow it to continue at the same level for a few minutes.

If you get distracted,

Just let your thoughts go,

And bring yourself back to this feeling of unconditional love.

You do not have to wait for something or someone outside of you to make you feel like this.

You can generate this sense of love and appreciation on demand,

Whenever you wish,

Regardless of your circumstances right now,

Regardless of how many people you have lined up before you.

You can feel the joy of loving and appreciating another person,

And you can sustain that feeling and carry it with you.

Bringing your attention back to your breath now.

Allowing that feeling of unconditional love to remain with you if you can.

Breathing deeply to reconnect with your body,

And slowly opening your eyes and returning to your day.
