Welcome,
My name is Silas Day and let's start today's practice by getting into a comfortable position with a tall straight back,
Not taut but not slack,
Just comfortable,
Allowing your arms to rest gently wherever they'd like to sit on your knees or in a mudra.
When you're ready you can either close your eyes or bring your attention to a spot in space or in your room,
Bringing as much of your attention and your concentration to this very moment as you can,
Settling in and allowing the mind and the body to still and relax down into just this and with openness,
Patience and curiosity,
Bring your awareness to the breath,
A deep breath in and releasing it fully,
A deep full body breath and letting it flow out,
Following that breath as it flows in and out of your body.
Let your body relax if you've tightened up,
Keeping focus on the breath,
Feeling its intake,
Its exhale,
Letting the mind be soft in this moment,
Letting the body be gentle,
Letting our body and practice be just as it is.
In five minutes I will speak to you again.
As we near the end of the session,
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
You may find that you're more relaxed,
You may feel more grounded or stable,
Or perhaps you feel frustrated.
In all of this,
Know that this is the practice,
The good,
The bad and everything in between.
In this we experience the practice and we work with the mind,
The body,
The heart and the consciousness,
Just as it is here and now.
The practice is here for you whenever you need it.
I'm Silas Day and I hope this helped you a little.
Have a wonderful day.
