Let's close our eyes.
Let's close our eyes.
Let's close our eyes.
Let's close our eyes.
I was chatting with someone who attends these sessions last week.
And one of the things that they told me was whenever they hear some truth being said in these sessions,
It touches their heart and brings them back to the now.
Either something true that is being said or a question that is asked in the same realm of truth or exploration of the truth.
The moment they said this,
I understood what they were trying to say.
I didn't need any qualification or explanation of what it means to be true.
The reason I say this is we live in a world where truth needs a prefix to exist,
Namely my truth,
Your truth.
Sometimes our professions,
Our education,
Our upbringing interferes with the definition of the word true or truth.
I'm not interested in going the route of science or physics and debating what is true and what is not true.
My interest is only in what is true for all of us in the context of happiness,
Ending the psychological pain and suffering,
Helping make things a little clearer.
Truth is something that is true for me,
For you,
For me.
And for everyone else,
Regardless of time or place or person.
This is the widest definition of truth.
The narrower the definition gets qualified by my truth or true for me at this time or this space,
The more fragile that truth is.
When I talk about psychological pain or suffering,
We all know what it means experientially.
Sometimes we might need words like disappointment,
Anger,
Frustration,
Anxiety to qualify,
To trigger some understanding.
But at the end,
We understand all of us,
What it means.
Being at peace,
Being happy doesn't mean something for one or the other and the other.
No,
It all means the same.
You can be at peace only in one way,
By being at peace.
That's what makes it true.
Simple thing like time,
If I say it is one o'clock in the afternoon,
It doesn't mean a thing unless I specify what time zone I am in.
That's what makes it true.
That's what makes it true.
Or if I point out,
Suggesting that if our minds are wandering,
Bring them back gently,
Without judgment,
It means the same thing for all of us.
That's what makes it true.
Or if I point out to you that despite being different people,
Somehow,
For some magical reason,
We all call ourselves I,
Sometimes in different languages,
But I.
And when I say I,
You know exactly what this word points to in your own experience.
Whatever thoughts are flashing in your mind right now,
That's not you.
You are the one watching them.
You are the one.
You are the one.
No matter how good or how bad the thoughts are,
Know that they can't be true.
True is always true.
Like you.
You're always watching.
Just appear and disappear.
But you don't.
And if you thought you did appear and disappear,
How would you know your appearance and disappearance?
You need to be present to see something appear and disappear and then appear again.
No matter what feelings are appearing.
Know that they are not true.
They appear and disappear.
But you are the one watching them.
You are true.
You are the one.
No matter what.
No matter what you're perceiving.
Your sensations,
Sounds,
My voice,
Smells,
Textures.
Know that they can't be true.
Because they appear and disappear,
Constantly move.
But you are the one watching them.
You are the truth.
All memories,
Past events.
They appeared and disappeared.
The actual events appeared and disappeared.
The memories appear and disappear intermittently.
They all appear to you.
They disappear in you.
Ask yourself.
What is the truth then?
Who is the truth then?
This exploration is diametrically opposite.
To what we are conditioned to.
Of making everything else true.
But discounting ourselves in that equation.
It always makes us chase things,
People,
Events.
Notice how you feel.
When you're getting a glimpse of your own truth.
Or of the truth.
Are you chasing anything?
Or are you being marinated in peace and stillness?
Thank you.
Thank you.
